Dr. Idiot
He performed a colon re-section on me in October 2023. The colon part is ok, but I haven’t been able to urinate without using a catheter since waking up after the surgery. Now I have to self catheter for the rest of my life. I’ve been to Mayo Clinic and other specialists. None are sure what happened during the surgery, nicked a nerve, anesthesia problem? None are sure. But never having problems urinating before the surgery and never able to urinate SINCE the surgery, doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out SOMETHING went wrong DURING the surgery! He is still denying that the surgery had anything to do with it. Find a different surgeon!!

If I could, I would give zero stars for Dr. Itawi
In 2019, when husband was months away from dying from Acute Myloid Leukemia. Dr. Itawi did surgery on my husband to remove an abcess very close to his anus. In the post surgical update that is provided to family members, I asked Dr. Itawi how we were supposed to care for my husbands wound. Dr. Itawi said, “You tell him to wipe real good.” That is an actual quote. This man is an unkind brute. If I had known about this Heaklthgrades website then, I would have posted this immediately.

I felt Dr. Was very dismissive. He could hardly wait to get out of the room when I had questions to ask. He threw a diagnosis at me with zero explanation or materials. Luckily I have access to the internet. He told me the wound would have to heal from the bottom up. Since it has not done that prior to surgery I wonder how it will do it after surgery. His coordination with another physician was done quickly. He failed to go see my sister after surgery, which even though he only has three small condylomas to remove, would have been polite. He is probably an excellent surgeon but his bedside manner needs work.
