Appointment scheduling issues
I've heard great things about Dr. Edward Block and wanted to schedule an appointment with his office for a colonoscopy exam. However, I ran into a problem with the front desk since nobody there either takes phone calls or returns them. According to the phone greeting there, phone calls are supposed to be returned in one day. Obviously it has not been my experience as I left a number of messages and finally, three days later, received a phone call from Gabi, Dr. Block's assistant. It took her a while to connect me with an appointment scheduling desk. When the rep there collected my insurance information consisting of my Medicare card and Medigap/Supplemental coverage, she insisted that I need a referral from a doctor and that I should call back once I have it. I explained to her that with my insurance I am able to see any physician who accepts Medicare and that I know how the system works because I have been teaching Medicare for over 10 years. Warning: don't fall into this trap;

Finding good connection
Dr. Block & I have always had a good connection and the world needs more people like him I’m very very thankful for the good connection we have developed I’ve never had a good connection with anybody other than him so it means everything to me

I've been a Patient of Dr. Block's off / on over the years and each and every time I've met with him, he makes you feel at home. I've enjoyed and respect his candor, expertise and willingness to share and/or listen to you. It's also helpful that he's recommended when needed, other Doctors for other ailments. The Office staff were very efficient & the Nurses were professional & exceptional in pre & post procedure. Thank You! :)

He is so magical and super nice to me I love the way he treats me with such nicest and kindness. His team are magical and super nice as well. I love Dr. Block I feel safe with him he is the best doctor ever. In 2014 I was very popular at Mission Hospital and Dr. D sent me to him and OMG every time I see him I think I might cry because the way he treats me with such nicest I love him he’s very important to me I’m thankful for him and his team everyday. God took His hands and sent me to the right people where I get so much kindness and nicest from the best doctor ever

I have complete confidence in Dr. Block and moved to San Diego County but travel to Orange County to see him. He is a great caring and thorough doctor which I have been a patient of for over 15 years.
