Arrogant, did not help me or even try
I was referred by my cardiologist for sleep apnea and because I failed the sleep study. I told Dr. Bates I cannot tolerate CPAP and have had ENT surgeries. He was arrogant, uncaring, just looked up my nose and viewed my right ear very briefly. I felt he did not do a thorough exam.He said there is nothing he could do for me,and did not even want to try. He gave the name of 2 dentists for a mouthpiece. His tone, verbal and body language was demeaning and cocky which made my wife cry. A survey was sent but I was on vacation and by the time I got home the survey expired so I could not review the visit at that time fom the office so I am sending in a review this way. He was also 50 minutes late in seeing me and did not even apologize. I saw him May 2023. I felt the visit was a waste of time

Poor Bedside manner
Went to Dr. Bates as second opinion for dizziness. Did receive a "little" information, but he could use some tips on how to work with elderly patients. He needs to make sure the patients fully understand what and why he is referring them to another doctor before assuming they are not trying to help themselves and acting as if he is wasting his time.

After surviving tonsil cancer in 2015, I had to see Dr Bates because my regular Dr was on vacation 1 week. My pain meds had run out, and Bates would NOT even refill my prescription in my Dr's absence..although he could easily see my normal meds and history from my chart.. He was also very cold, and I'd NEVER want to see him again! A total jerk!
