Dr. Douglas Stafford, MD

I met with Dr. Stafford in March 2023 regarding my upper legs. I have not scheduled a procedure yet, but I felt compelled to leave this review because I left his office feeling more positive about the entire experience than I had with any other aesthetic setting I've been in. The front office staff was not just friendly, but approachable (not always found in this type of setting) and engaging, and Dr. Stafford was one of the most genuine physicians I've discussed these types of procedures with. It was like chatting with a well-liked uncle. He was thorough, took his time to look at all areas with consideration, and he went beyond the intent for my consult and discussed the beauty (insert sarcasm) of menopause with me. Turns out this is an area he has a focus in and he was genuinely interested in my personal experience relative to menopause. I really liked him and came away with a positive vibe. I canceled my visit once I was told the doctor and staff put on masks only if I request it. I was told there is plexiglass in the outer office and social distancing. But, especially for the exam, we would be in an enclosed area, closer than 6 feet for a significant amount of time. What kind of a doctor doesn't follow CDC Covid guidelines??? Also, the paperwork I would need to sign includes a very comprehensive hold-harmless document in case office staff or another patient gives me Covid. Now I understand the poor healthgrades rating. OMG.

Two years ago I had varicose vein surgery with Dr. Stafford, All seemed to go well except for my recovery. I had neuropathy in my left foot and partial neuropathy in my rt . foot. The Dr said it would clear up and two years later it is still there. I just spent considerable time in er and the hospital and find that I will be on blood thinners forever because his mistakes cannot be repaired! I have had two years of PT and personal training to get the nerves to come back to life. A Ultrasound revealed that the ends of the veins should have been ablated and were not! I had a 5cc blood clot but it was caught in time.

Procedure went very well, very pleased.

It was truly one of the most awful experiences I have ever had. From the way he treated me verbally, to the lack of understanding that the needles were hurting to the excuse he gave me for only doing the back of my legs ....because I am only paying for a block of time and the back of my legs took up that time (20-30 min) I have only 2 bad slots on front and he said I will have to get another treatment to get the fronts done. It was 5:15 and he stated he needed to get him and his staff home
