My Wellness is a lie!My
My husband and I were Dr. Payne's very first patients. We have been his patients for over 20 years since he came to El Paso. We loved him and thought the world of him. In June 2024, my husband was critically ill and hospitalized. Despite our concierge payments, Dr. Payne did not come to visit my husband nor call about my husband's condition. It was as if my husband did not exist anymore. What they want to tell you is that you make concierge payments, and they are still billing your insurance. My husband is a veteran. They were billing the VA as well. They billed Medicare and Blue Cross Blue Shield monthly for Blood pressure monitoring. Dr. Payne lied to me about continuing my prescription refills from another doctor who retired. When it came time to refill these prescriptions that I had been taking for over 20 years, he suddenly had a problem that caused untold sheer side effects for me. As I voiced my concerns, the true Dr. Payne emerged. And we left the practice

This is an exemplary doctor. He is not only an informed intellectual in his field but so very compassionate. The combination seems so very rare to find these days. He has helped me with cases out of the norm and has never given up. He doggedly finds what is at issue when other doctors have turned you away because of the difficulty you present. Additionally, he is the doctor that actually answers your calls at all hours of the day or night. I have called at 4 am and he has picked up the phone

Dr. Payne never judged or made me feel bad about being overweight, instead he encouraged and guided me in the right direction. He listens to my concerns and answers any questions honestly and to the best of his ability. Not to mention his awesome staff, they're always friendly and kind. He is the best doctor i've ever had, and would recommend him to anyone.
