Awful. Does not try to figure out root cause of your health issue. Instead, does bandaid approach--prescribes medications before thoroughly investigating health issue. Refers you elsewhere. Does not listen. Short with you. Unsympathetic.

Dr. Lao has always treated me in the upmost professional manner. She spends the time to discuss with me any issues regarding my health issues and is has a very good knowledge of all health issues that may arise. Personable also!

The qualities that I value in a doctor are compassion and patience. Unfortunately, Dr. Kao doesn't seem to possess either. She was curt and rushed through our appointments. I understand doctors have stressful jobs, but a caring demeanor and a willingness to listen to the patient go a long way.
