I Remember When…
My husband Chris & I moved from Santa Cruz to Cambria, CA about 15 yrs. ago. Dr. Kashino had been our family doctor for about 20 yrs. at that time & we bemoaned the fact that we’d have to find a new GP because Dr. K. had been so warm-hearted & competent. One day, when C. had an app’t., he walked into his office & sat down to a packed waiting room. Suddenly an irate, rude patient could be heard insulting him in an horrendous manner. As C. was being walked to a treatment room he saw how frustrated & upset Dr. K was, so he stopped & asked him if he needed a break. Dr. K said he had many more patients to see, so that wasn’t possible. C. said his app’t. wasn’t crucial & that he’d be happy to re-schedule it. An expression of relief appeared on his face & he said “thank you”, then walked into his office for a much-deserved break. Afterward, C. & I marveled at how rare it is to find a Dr. who is both extremely skilled, but unafraid to express his human side. We still miss him so much!

I have been seeing Dean Kashino for 30 years. He is our family doctor and delivered both of my children. I have always been pleased with his treatment, concern and availability. In that time period he has been at 3 different locations. Presently he is with Dominican which is more impersonal than when he had his own practice. I have recommended him to many other families.
