Dr. Zimmer was very kind and thorough! I would highly recommend her!

Dr. Zimmer had terrible bedside manner. I found her communication style to be lacking. She used vague terms like on the “smaller side” and on the “lower side”. When I asked her to quantify these terms, she said she couldn’t she would have to look at her notes. She was very negative and mentioned things like still birth she chromosomal abnormalities in very insensitive manner. She was also short and dismissive to my questions.It was a Friday late afternoon and to be honest I felt like she just wanted to get the appointment over with. I left the appointment confused and in tears.

Dr. Zimmer was kind and informative. Our ultrasound tech, Beth was amazing as well.

As a Registered Nurse; and a Legal Medical Consultant; I can say that Dr. Zimmer took the time and great care to discuss the findings with me after an Ultrasound. She was knowledgeable and skilled, communicating possible next-steps and provided a quick report turn around time so that I could see another doctor the same day. Excellent staff & service provided comfort in a time of pain.

Dr Zimmer takes time to kindly explain anything and everything for her patients. She makes you feel valued and makes sure your pregnancy is a happy and positive experience.

Me and my wife were seen for fetal echo due to family history of heart abnormalities. We were initially seen by a counselor, then ultrasound technician, and finally a pediatric cardiologist. After waiting in the exam room for another 45 minutes, I stepped into the hall to see if we were missing some instruction; at that time, Dr. Zimmer said we were good to leave, no additional consult needed. Dr. Zimmer literally did not step into the exam room yet her bill was nearly three times that of the pediatric cardiologist, who actually performed the study. All other service at St. Vincent have been stellar. Extremely dissatisfied with Dr. Dawn Zimmer's lack of professional courtesy and seemly price gouging. If pediatric specialist is needed in the future, we will be going to Riley Children's Hospital where we at least know expensive bills will come better patient service.
