Dr. David West, DO

I had a left knee replacement. Everything was great. I had very little pain after surgery. Everything was very comfortable and they made this experience 10 times better than I thought it would go. I had no issues and would recommend him to anyone else.

I was injured at work and was going through WC. Dr West was reccomended to me and I am so glad I went with the recommendation. He took the time to figure out what was going on and get me fixed up. He and his staff were very kind at every appointment. I will always recommend them to anyone.

I was injured at work and was sent to dr. West for treatment. I had a tear in my shoulder and my knee when I seen him. I had a hard time getting my knee treated because the MRI was saying possible tear. He tried and tried to get it done but like workerscomp they deny deny deny. I finally had to use my own insurance to get it taken care of after a year and a half went by. I got a lawyer and needed him to write a statement or sign what the lawyer wrote up from my history with him trying to get an approval BUT he didn’t want anything to do with it at that point he told me he’s not gonna write anything nor sign anything…WOW…I couldn’t believe he discharged me and just wrote me off told me I needed to get out of his office because he didn’t want to talk about any of it anymore. This just tells me it was all about the money and not about helping me get the job to be responsible for my injury. I’m just hurt at the fact he washed his hands with me after all that time fighting to get treatment.

Dr. West treated me during a 7 week time-frame for a fractured metatarsal. Great medical office and wonderful and warm experience from start to finish. I appreciated Dr. West taking the time to go over the diagnosis clearly and treatment options. I would not hesitate to recommend his services.

I am utterly appalled at David West's practice. I was ordered an X-Ray with him, and he didn't even X-Ray the part of my body in question. I called and demanded a refund afterward. When expressing my concerns to David West about my chronic pain, he quite literally, scoffed, laughed, diminished and invalidated all of my pain within a matter of a few minutes. When I told him I thought there was a larger issue than what we were focusing on, he scoffed, smirked, and asked in a snarky manner, "And what makes you think that." I told him because I've discovered such in PT. He shrugged his shoulders and crossed his arms as he told me that there was not much more he could do for me, that I just needed to continue going to PT (I've been going for the past 3 years) . Once I got a second opinion, I learned that I have a rare disorder that has been the cause of my chronic pain that "Dr." David West never bothered to uncover. He is careless, insulting, and arrogant. Do not waste your time.

Having Dr. West as my surgeon for my ACL and MCL surgery was the best decision! He was amazing throughout the whole process and so was his staff. I was very scared because I had never had surgery before and I was worried I wouldn't be able to be very physically active post surgery. Dr. David West put my worries at ease, made me comfortable and he was very professional. I am now up and running and again and my knee is stable and strong. I would definitely recommend West Sports Medicine and Orthopedics.

I suffered a Achilles injury that needed surgery. Once it healed I did physical therapy at his office as well. If I ever have the need for an Orthopedic Doctor. again I would go back to West with out hesitation. His staff was knowledgeable on all levels of the process, super friendly, easy to work with most importantly easy to schedule with. Great experience!

I was treated courteously, my knee issues were explained and treatment went as described by the doctor. A satisfying experience.

He did my first knee replacement. Couldn’t ask for better doctor. Great office staff!! He’s a good doctor and all around good person.

This so called Dr. Is an absolute hack and should not be practicing any more. He has completely sold out to the insurance companies and does not have the people in his best interest. This hack lied to my wife and I before surgery about what he did as well as lied strait to my face after surgery. He is more concerned about what the insurance company thinks then he does about the well being of his patient's. This hack cut me open and did not fix the issue, leaving me in just about the same situat

This doctor saw me in his office for spondylosis and degeneration at L4-5 and less at L5-S1. His exam took a total of 3 minutes at most. He asked me to walk across the room, which I did. Then he asked me if I could walk on my heels. I told him I didn't think I could, but I would try. He said he had seen enough to make his decision, He never checked my reflexes. How do you check a patient without even checking reflexes. He's not even a very nice doctor.

Experience is bad Doctor won't to talk to more in 3 mins refusing to see my knee problem even related to my hip problem but he want to make more money he is perfect to collect money from insurance Only person I like in his clinic is Jennifer she is super nice when she answer the phone and nice for everything

I had the worst experience with him after he performed a knee surgery. He refused to see me after a knee surgery and left me in spite of my suffering from terrible pain. He ordered me out of the hospital. I went to the Vanderbilt by ambulance to get a large amount of fluid from my knee. I have never seen worse than this in my life

I had a great experience with Dr. West. He took care of my knee and ankle with ease. I would recommend him to my family. He took his time in the room with me and was very nice, caring and friendly. I especially like that he is not big on writing pain medicine, it is a huge problem for many people so I really thought that was great. I will be back to see him.

He is a joke as a doctor he could find what was wrong with wife foot. A other doc knew 5 mins to coming in the office room. He help her right off. Seem to us he just tries to littel as he can to turn a round robe your inst company. Wonder why most of the docs at s hills hosp is just bad. Maybe they work any where but there

Dr. West is awesome ....friendly office/ staff and a very thoughtful and amazing doctor. I would recommend him to anyone.

Prety much blamed me for the screws backing out of the small plate in my hand even though I had hardly used it,now I have to have it removed. He was short with me and I was unable to finish some things I was trying to him. He would be a better if he would fully listen to his patients and not act annoyed with patients or blame them for his honk ups.

He was in dyersburg tn would not listen to his patients messed up me and a lot of other patients he ain't worth wasting your time on these Drs need to be evaluated they see way too many patients at one time they don't listen they should only be allowed to see so many a day
