Knowledgeable, Trustworthy and Kind
I've turned to Dr. Reichstein on multiple occasions for urgent consultation and treatment for bothersome eye irritation. He's extremely knowledge and experienced and has provided me with recommendations for immediate therapeutic relief as well as necessary long-term medical treatment. He has a kind demeanor and seems very dedicated and passionate about patient care. I highly recommend seeing him if you're looking for relief from troublesome eye related issues.

Won't return.
There's something weird about the guy. I'm sure he's great at what he does - he's the only one in the state, so not much competition to know - but I don't trust what he says outside of that.

Fragile Ego
Its hard to explain the experience other than after waiting 2 hours for an appointment I said I had to leave for a job meeting. The front desk rescheduled me but later that day the nurse called to say 'you don't need to come for your appointment'. It was odd but I took it as him cancelling me as a patient. I don't recommend and will not be returning.

Excellent doctor and surgeon
Rather quiet, and to the point but that’s not what matters when you’re looking for somebody to fix your eye. Best I’ve seen in 20 years.

Little interest in why I was there
First impression was indifference. Asked why I was there. Wanted a "baseline" for AMD due to family history. His response, after exam, is that I don't have to worry about it "for awhile". He did answer questions but I felt like I was taking up too much of his time. Never said goodbye, nice to meet you, see you next year. Just walked out. I don't doubt that he is a knowledgeable eye specialist but I felt like I wasted his time.

Very pleased
We found Dr R very caring, concerned & kind to my 82 yr old mother. Procedures were explained, Dr. R put my mom at ease, she trusts him completely. You may have to wait longer if your appt. is on his surgery day(s). We understand surgeries may run over and/or he has an emergency surgery.

Rude
He was horrible. Not only did he have us wait 3 1/2hrs to actually talk to us. He didn’t say much of anything. Was cocky and aloof. Wouldn’t answer questions and explained nothing to us. We went in for possible eye melanoma and had many questions; as it will be a life long issue. The only questions I got answered were from his staff. As he wouldn’t even stay in the room longer then 60 seconds. We are for sure getting a second opinion and will never go back to him.
