Wonderful retinologist
Dr Sonkin has been my retinologist since 2017 when he repaired my detached retina. He has always kept a close check on my eyes to make certain that I don’t have any other issues with them.

Incredible Doctor
Dr Sonkin has taken remarkable care of me for six years. Went to him when I first started AMD, and it wasn’t long before my left eye went from dry to wet. He brought it back to dry and since then there has been little significant change in them!

Awesome doctor!

Special Surgeon
Dr. Sonkin is an amazing eye surgeon. He treated my vision impairment with great knowledge and compassion. He gave me hope and realistic expectations. He managed my care with great support staff and state of the art testing. I am saddened that he is retiring.

Going to miss a great doctor
Dr. Sonkin has been my doctor for a vitreous detachment then a retina tear for the past 3 years. He has always been kind and polite but more importantly he has been competent in addressing my needs. The laser surgery to repair my retina tear was successful and my vision is good. Sad he is retiring.

A great retina doctor
My mother has AMD in both eyes and has received eye injections from Dr. Sonkin for 15 years. She had already lost her center vision when she became his patient. Her peripheral vision has been saved through his excellent care. He is friendly and caring and we have been completely pleased with him and his work.

Fantastic Retina dr.
I have been seeing Dr. Sonkin at Tennessee Retina for over 20 years! I drive from Huntsville, Al for my visits (1.75 hours) he always takes the time needed to discuss options and answer any questions. Although sometimes you may have to wait a while, it is worth waiting to receive such great care. Definitely would recommend Tennessee Retina to anyone who needs Retina care.
