Quite impressed
I am not a patient of Dr Landry, but I was accompanying a friend that will be needing surgery. I’ve worked in the medical field for over 40 years and I was involved with a lot of orthopedic doctors. I was very impressed with Dr. Landry. His knowledge, his patience, and the way he interacts with his patient was wonderful. She needed something more specific and he did not hesitate to refer and set her with someone more specialized in that area.If I personally require anything Orthopedic in the future, being new to Virginia and not familiar with doctors in Lynchburg, I would not hesitate to go to him.

First visit with Dr. Landy
Dr. Landy introduced himself and he listened and took measures to find out about a new problem I had with my right knee. My left knee has been the main problem. He was especially great in listening, answering all my questions, never rushed my care.He is new to the practice, but it was as if he had been there some time....meaning he fit in well making it his objective to give you the best care. You can sense that he truly cares about the work he is doing. His people skills are excellent. He made an efficient plan to take care of my new problem with my right knee.I came in as a follow-up for my left knee and had to tell him about a problem with my right knee. Both my knees were x-rayed and I found out that my right knee had become as bad as my left knee. It was scary for me, but he explained the steps we could take to begin getting help for my right knee. I definitely appreciate the care I received from Dr. Landy.

Great Doctor
One of the best Dr’s I’ve ever had. Pretty much saved my life through his persistence. Another surgeon had give up on me and declined to do a procedure. He stepped up and 4 surgeries and total hip replacement later I’m infection free and can walk.

This was a joke from the moment I walked through the door. He did not bother to familiarize himself with my chart or even show an ounce of compassion. He could not be bothered to offer an alternative to surgery and basically told me I'm not treatable at my current weight His demeanor was that I wasted his time. No bed side manner! No interest in knowing me or involving himself in my ongoing care. I am utterly disgusted by the university Dr's and their lack of communication. It's dangerous and a disgusting practice. Nothing inspires lack of trust like walking into a Dr's appointment and being asked why are you here? Who referred you? Seriously could you not be bothered to read my chart!
