Dr. David Herf, MD

Dr Herf is not only a wonderful Doctor but he made me feel like he had all the time in the world for me, and that I mattered, and not just another Number! From the time I entered in the door, I was greeted with a kind smile and very sincere welcome, by his receptionist. I would highly recommend Dr Herf and his office, best experience I have had when it comes to a medical provider.

I needed to get on super fast because I was loosing my insurance and they got me on t he schedule in record time.

Dr. Herf advised immediate emergency gallbladder surgery, stating that death would occur if the surgery was not performed. On the operating table, it was discovered that there was no gallbladder!!! He didn't take any accountability. This resulted in thousands of dollars in medical bills between Herf and the hospital. Plus, there was still the matter of getting a correct diagnosis from a specialist. Most upsetting, his receptionist (his wife) telling me he deserved to be paid for his time. Do not trust Dr. Herf. He lacks compassion, has a lousy bedside manner, and the practice is really run by his wife - who is not a doctor. Adding that Herf and his wife have blocked me on multiple platforms and continue to have my reviews flagged and removed.

Dr. Herf told me I needed emergency surgery and would die without it. On the operating table, it was discovered he was completely wrong. Turns out, I wasn't even born with the organ he said was faulty and had to be removed. I trusted Herf. He wasted my time and money. His wife/receptionist is rude. I had to seek another specialist to get resolution. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

Love the office staff. They have always been so friendly, accommodating and treat me like family. Dr Herf is the best surgeon there is. He truly cares for his patients. I wouldn't put my life in anyone else's hands. Thank you Dr Herf and staff!

First off, Dr Herf needs to retire. That man doesn’t know his head from the rear. Second, reschedules surgery 3 days prior to the following week after I’ve already completed his request within 3 days. I literally jumping through hoops to get it done. After admission, he orders everything to be done in hospital. Nothing like double charging your insurance company. The nurses that worked on 2 South, where did you get your degree from? Do they just hand them out? This hospital must be desperate. Nurses that don’t hand out daily meds and have to be reminded is pathetic. I was to resume all meds after surgery. I was there 2 days after surgery and got 0 cardiac meds including Xarelto. My O2 got down to 85 percent and still having problems. Could this be pneumonia? I bet. But did they check? Lastly, Dr Herf couldn't believe all the pain I was in. Did you check to see if there was a bowel blockage? I did a prep and nothing came out. Did you follow up? No, you discharged me.

Excellent. His expertise and thoroughness is appreciated. His office was clean and staff is professional and curteous even when I contacted with post-surgery questions.
