Dr. David Gaston, MD

Dr. Gaston is so compassion and knowledgeable. He has given me the option of radiation over MOH’s surgery twice. He explained the outcomes of both and let me make the decision of which way to proceed. His bedside manner is equally fantastic. Even though my issues are minor in the big scheme; he treats me as if I am as important to him as a patient.

Dr. Gaston was very personable. He was thorough and answered all of my questions. Office staff was friendly and very helpful.

In addition to my husband‘s scheduled MOHS procedure, Dr. Gaston observed another couple of spots that just needed freezing, so he took care of those, too. Many doctors would’ve required us to schedule a separate appointment just for that! Dr. Gaston truly cares about his patients. Later that same day, near the end of his office hours, he, and a couple of staff members stayed longer, so he could take care of my husband who ended up bleeding more than expected from the MOHS site. They knew we had to drive all the way back to his office from Pensacola Beach, whereas most doctors would’ve said, “ You’ll need to take him to the emergency room.” ( That has actually happened to us several times!) But NOT Dr. Gaston… He cared enough about his patient, my husband, to stay longer just to attend to my husband’s urgent medical needs. Dr. Gaston is one of those rare doctors who is more than willing to go above and beyond!!!

I went yesterday to Dr. Gaston and his team, to have cancer removed from my face. Naturally, I was nervous, but everyone's professionalism and kindness there gave me peace of mind. I knew I was in great hands!! So, if you have a spot you think may be cancerous, give Dr. Gaston's office a call. Get it over with. Don't put it off like I did. You will be in great hands!

After removing the cancer Dr G. took great pains to skin graft the site. This was my third time and his care and attention to detail is amazing. His nurses are kind and reassuring at what is a scary time.

I have never been to a doctor's appointment where the doctor actually performed the services on time. Most of the time, I sit for well over a half hour before being seen. Today I was 23 minutes late. The office allows a 15 minute "grace period" so with that period, I was 8 minutes late. The doc refused to see me and tried to reschedule. I said "no." What is good for the goose is good for the gander. Docs constantly overbook and expect their patients to suffer due to their overbooking.

He is very knowledgeable in kohls procedure. I would never question his experience but he misunderstood me and asked me " do you not know that I know you have had a biopsy, I read your chart you are confusing me he stated". I felt insulted and if course I apologize. I will see him for my six week follow up, but I hope to not see him again. I will stick with mark brown
