Caring, listens, and is honest.
My wife (a retired RN) and I met to discuss treatment options for my favorable-intermediate grade prostate cancer. He had previously performed a biopsy and then ordered a PSMA scan that showed (thankfully) the small cancer was confined to the prostate. Although he is a surgeon, he recommended against surgery (overkill for my situation). He presented the pros and cons of two alternative treatment methods he felt were reasonable and recommended one. Throughout the lengthy conversation, I felt he was listening, caring, and honest. We both highly recommend Dr. Esrig.

Neobladder in 2002. I really liked him during the surgery and 10 years of follow ups. My new ( now old) bladder still works well.

Ii would not be alive today if not for Dr. Esrig. Not only is he an excellent surgeon, he has continued to help me navigate having renal cell carcinoma. I consider myself very lucky to have this man in my corner.

Find another urologist, especially if you are a woman. Very patronizing and negligent.

This guy has no bed side manner being in a TV commercial for prostate Cancer has gone to his head he needs to come back to earth with us normal folk I won't recommend him to anyone......
