I would like to acknowledge Dr. Darya Soto and her team at Pulmonary and Sleep Associates of Marin. Dr.Soto has been my"touchstone" since 2012. We have worked together to help me thru moments of pulmonary crisis. We are currently working together to resolve an asthma exacerbation. We have communication via secure postal andTelehealth visits using Zoom. She has worked with me to adjust my care plan as my condition has changed. I would like to express my deep gratitude for the super care I have received.

She saved my life. Suffering from terminal edema due insulin allergy. She pulled me out of critical care, eliminated insulin, and put me on diuretics to reduce edema.

after Soto sent me to a sleep study (told her I had every symptom for sleep apnea), she tells me I don't have sleep apnea so she can't prescribe the machine that might save my life! told me "test shows that u never enter deep sleep state because U wake & move into the light sleep state.". This IS The very definition of sleep apnea! "U can't recommend the machine? Not going into the deep sleep state is critical" I said. Her blank stare:"No. U can have surgery for the snoring, that's it".

Dr. Soto is completely professional and yet puts you at ease while she talks to you. She never acts rushed. She answers all questions. She listens carefully to your concerns. She asks lots of questions and she is not judgmental about any answers when they center around unhealthy habits you may have or had that may be contributors to your present condition. She is smart and it shows when she is assessing you as an individual and what your treatment should be. I trust her completely.
