So Disappointed!
I went to Southern Indiana Orthopedics as a follow-up & second opinion after initially going to see my internal medicine physician 3 days prior when I initially woke up to significant pain I felt in my lower right buttocks, groin area, & outer thigh. Unfortunately, Dr. Darryl Tannenbaum was arrogant, dismissive, short, & seemed very rushed & uninterested in my concerns. In fact, it felt as if he wasn't taking me seriously at all when I continued to try & explain myself & the significant pain I was having, along with the fact that I was concerned that not only was I in pain in my groin, right buttocks, but that now my right thigh had become numb in the last several days. Dr. Darryl Tannenbaum took his mask down & sarcastically smirked & said, "You're fine! Look my leg is numb now too!" He then looked over at the nurse or tech(?) that was also in the room & said, "Doesn't your leg get numb too?" His patronizing demeanor made me feel SO humiliated. I will NEVER go to see him again!

He’s so smart and nice. He doesn’t waste your time. He never chooses surgery first but gives other options to consider.

Had two visits with Dr. Tannenbaum, both less than five minutes. No x-rays or MRI for an injured knee from falling, the ER referred me to his office. Did not even do an examination to manipulate it or see what he thought, so basically no diagnosis. Referred to PT for five weeks, after the 8th PT session my PT told me that there was nothing more PT could do and to see my general practice doctor and get a referral to a new doctor. I'm in the process right now and going through the ST Francis network of doctors. It was a terrible experience and I would never recommend Tannenbaum for anything. I had been to Dr. Federle several years prior at this same office and he was excellent and the staff were great. Tannenbaum, not so much.

Condescending and rude! I had an okay experience the first couple of visits. The last visit was awful. He didn't listen to my concern at all and spent less than 5 minutes talking with me. He was very patronizing, cut me off multiple times, and was obviously in a hurry. He pretty much told me there was nothing wrong with my wrist, to ice it and "try OT to see if it helps." I left disappointed and feeling like a fool.
