I was a patient of his approximately four years ago. He is a genius. He saved my life from diabetes. I am still diabetes free today. I just recommend him to a dear friend of my.

This doctor was obstructive when I needed to get a new insulin pump prescription. His nurse was also confused about what the "diabetes education" requirement meant and refused to help me figure out how to fulfill it, though the pump company tells me that the physician's office is responsible for this (and Stout's office simply refused to help). The doctor was uninformed about pump and CGM options besides Medtronic. His bedside manner was mediocre. Worst endo I've had in the last 25 years.

I feel he is knowledgeable about his job duty and takes his profession seriously. He's Very blunt. Do not feel like he listens when I speak but looks at me like a math book. Wants to prescribe a pill for everything and when said I wanted to have a child he was not supportive. I suppose each case is different. When I asked a question it was as if he was insulted that I had an idea differing from his.
