Knee Surgery with Dr Lamar
Very well organized, all questions were answered, everybody was friendly and helpful and most of all, the surgery was successful. I’m healing rapidly which is a testament to Dr. Lamar’s skill and my post op care. I strongly recommend Dr Lamar and his group.

He ruined my shoulder...
Dr Lamar completed a rotator cuff surgery on me in 2017. He did such a poor job that I had to have another surgery in 2019 to repair the mess he made of my shoulder. Now it's 2025 and I have to have another surgery to fix yet more mistakes that he made. He put an anchor so close to my bicep tendon it shredded it. He left sutures in my shoulder. For being such a 'well known respected surgeon' I would not recommend him to anyone. 8 years later I am still dealing with the repercutions of his shoddy work. Don't go to him for a shoulder repair.

Highly recommend Dr Lamar and his staff.
I was in a lot of pain with my right hip. It is now perfect, thanks to Dr Lamar and his staff. Friendly, professional staff! Highly recommend Coastal Orthopedics. Dr Lamar’s assistants Jason and Courtney were fantastic also!

He explained what happened & treatment options
I 1st went to a different doctor. But was unstatifed with the service. I was referred by a few friends. I liked that he went over what could have done if I came to them sooner, what we can do now, and what we can do in the future if present trial doesn't work. I like that he explained what I actual did to my knee to cause the pain.

Took new X-rays of both knees. Explained current condition and my options going forward. Had a cortisone shot to hold me until after my trip abroad. Will have Dr Lamar do total knee replacement later this summer.

Review of Dr. Lamar for right knee Replacement
Dr. Lamar and his entire staff were fabulous.From the surgical center, nursing pre- op team and the nursing post- op teams, both Physician Assistants, and professionals at physical training center, each member was superior. Their treatment of me, the patient, was truly exceptional.
