Dr. Mark Lonstein, MD

After years of debilitating pain and disability and visits to several orthopedic doctors,finally 5 years ago I saw Dr. Lonstein. My back, hips and knees hurt and I could barely walk. I had been told that the main problem was my back. He had the patience and experience to examine me much more thoroughly and to listen to me. He said my back was OK but my hips were the problem. He was so right! After I had both hips replaced, I had no more pain or disability. I am 80 years old and I am so grateful that he solved my problem 5 years ago. I am still painfree and able to do yard work - my own and the neighbor's, climb stairs (for exercise), go to the gym, and do household maintenance that I could not do before I had my hips replaced. Dr. Lonstein has compassion and common sense. His staff has been kind, efficient, and helpful. Every day I am grateful that he improved my life so much.

Went to Dr Lonstein for diagnosis of my sciatic pain. Issue was addressed systematically with PT and scans and determined to be spinal stenosis. Treatment options and risks were clearly presented. I chose surgery -laminectomy- which was scheduled and performed in a fair time frame. Surgery was successful with 95% of function recovered; lingering foot insensitivity which may pass with time. This possibility was discussed prior to surgery and, otherwise, I have recovered my previous activity and general comfort levels.

I have been seeing Dr. Lonstein for about a year for lower back pain. From the moment I walked in I was surprised at the chilly/negative climate of the office. The Office Mgr was arguing with someone on the phone. In fact every time I came in for an appointment she was being argumentative to someone on the phone. But I digress, my first appointment with Dr L was semi-cold and detached but…I just wanted to get pain relief for my back not a best friend. So I got through it. Followed all instructions but still experiencing pain I called again. Once again when I arrived the Ofc. Mgr was arguing with someone. When Dr L entered the exam room he asked why I why there and I explained that I felt a more aggressive measure was needed. Immediately, he said insurance won’t cover it. My specific insurance was terrible. That I needed to go to a pain management center or call my insurance co. Was then charged $89. Insurance company said he just needed pre-auth! That’s it..I left in tears.

I think Dr. Lonstein did a great job on my back. It’s been 9 weeks since my surgery.I’m pain free.

I have had cervical surgery with Dr.Lonstein 8 years ago I’m doing great. Now seeing him for back pain very pleased .The office staff is very helpful and pleasant. I would recommend you call for an appointment.

I had a severe lower back strain. Dr Lonstein provided immediate help with medication, rehab and follow up. And, he ruled out surgery as soon as he saw the MRI, which was also a great relief. All appointments were done punctually and the staff was always helpful. The Physio Therapist could not have been better.

Excellent surgeon. Had a herniated disc in my neck with severe pain. Dr. Lonstein fused a disc and immediate pain relief. Very knowledgeable, listens to the patient, explains what needs to be done. He is the one to see for a neck problem

Dr. Lonstein is a very skilled orthopedic physician. He healed my lower back pain due to a fall with great skill and minimal invasive surgery. The office staff are very friendly and obtaining an appointment was no problem.

Dr. Lonstein removed a cyst and fused two vertebrae back in March. I no longer have any pain and am able to play golf again! He was terrific!

Dr Mark Lonstein and staff were the best ever!!! My Son had severe pain on his back..Not going into details, but after the surgery and 6 month of pain, Dr lonstein and his staff brought a smile to my son and myself!! words don't say enough , Thank you !!! it was a life changing experience....

Dr. Lonstein has operated on me five times and every one has been a success. He has always listened to my concerns and answered every single question I have had. He even allowed my wife to conference call in so that she could participate in my appointment. He treats you as if you are his only patient and makes sure that your post op care is the best.

Dr Lonstein & his team are awesome! Dr Lonstein performed my wife's 2nd back surgery in 2011. My wife has had a challenged back most of her life. about a year ago we brought home a lil puppy...back issues started getting worse. 24/7 pain. Urgent care & her primary Dr could not get an MRI approved from ins. My wife reached out to Dr Lonstein as she could no longer deal with the de-habilitating pain. Within 1 hour of her visit...the MRI was approved. Within days her rehab plans were in motion. Dr L, Donovan, Kayla & Rosa are very caring.

I have been seeing Dr Lonstein for over a year, I felt care and concern. I am also dealing with Cancer care which he show concern also. I have been released today after surgery for L4/L5 fusion and doing great.

Dr Lonstein treated my mother for a compression fracture of lumbar spine. He performed a kyphoplasty that seemed to help relieve a lot of her symptoms. The office staff was easy to work with and easy to reach for making appts. Physical therapy was in his office, the therapists are wonderful, professional and excellent hands on therapist. The office is easy to access right off of US 41. I would recommend the office to my family and friends.

Very efficient, friendly office. And they answer your calls right away. Dr. Lonstein spent loads of time with me, explained how the nerve was pinched in my neck. He does not rush to operate. Another surgeon was recommending neck surgery. Instead we tried physical therapy, the therapist Karen is the best I have ever met. My severe neck and arm pain went away with therapy, I did not need surgery. If you want an honest opinion go see Dr. Lonstein. Very satisfied.

Would not listen to what issues I had, No time spent in exam, talked over me, and talked/looked through me. I didn't feel he cared about his patients at all. Total disregard for anyone. Very rude staff.
