Dr. Daniel Hely, MD

Dr Hely really listened when I talked to him about the challenges I was facing with rehabbing an injured foot while caring for my horses and business. He clearly explained my options and helped me find strategies that would work. I love that he requested more information to be able to effectively evaluate my healing progress. I believe with Dr Hely's help, my recovery will be as quick as possible.

Dr. Hely is a condescending old man. Every visit I have to remind him of why I am there, why I do not take medication for my pain, why certain medications are on my NO list, the severity of my pain, etc. At my last visit he wrote a script for me to see physical therapy right after I had told him for the 3rd time that I have been doing my PT for 3 months and things were getting worse. It is like I am in OIP's version of the movie Groundhog Day. January 9th I had enough. He talked down to me like I was a child, infront of my husband no less. He is just there for a paycheck, preying on elderly patients, parents with small kids or those who just accept this kind of treatment. He got offended that I stood up for myself and advocated for proper care. After trying to gaslight me, he wrote me off to some other doctor. Hopefully she is as good as the lady who checked me out says she is. Hely is a quack and a bully. He doesn't care about the patient, just the pay out!

I will never forget my IME’s with this man. Nearly everything I reported to him was never documented to the insurance company . In fact he fabricated much of the report that was sent to the insurance company. This man is not truthful or honest. He violated his Hippocratic Oath. I guess he feels he needs to do this in order to have a steady referral of IMR’s/money

Dr. Hely reconstructed my shattered ankle and fibula. My follow up was in Pittsburgh with the same doctors that the Pittsburgh Steelers use. They stated that Dr. Hely's work was immaculate and they were very impressed with the reconstruction of such devastated bones.

Best surgeon I've ever had. He is genuinly concerned with my welfare and does not immediately go to surgery as The course of treatment
