Dr Mintzer is the best surgeon around. He is short and to the point, which I appreciate because I understand that is how he is. He did my ACL surgery and made a point to give me the smallest incision he could. It’s been 10 years and my knee is the same as my kids. My son hurt his knee and I brought him down from Georgia to see Dr Mintzer. He’s the best.

I've had 2 torn meniscus knee surgeries by Dr. Mintzer, and both very successful. One in 2014 and the other one about a year ago. Both knees are fully functional. Dr. Mintzer is a very personable Dr. as well as very professional and an excellent surgeon.

Extremely disappointed with this doctor. First visit. Didnt even introduced hi.self. right from the get go he said "What are you doing here? I cant do nothing for you? Come back in 10 years to consider a hip replacement and lose some weight (I am a very fit person, guess he didnt look at me) I dont even know this doctor and this was his presentation card. He didn't even bother in looking at the MRI of my knee. Just look at 4 photos which provides no information. Took my results and got them read by a radiologist which offered the information. I dont have 1 word to describe this pathetic doctor. His bedsides manners were the worst. I called my health insurance because I refuse to pay for his service and want my copayment back. I asked if the plasma treatment was an option to which he replied..my colleague can do for you for $500. WTH. I didnt ask you for the price, I asked he that was a possible solution. I never felt so humiliated in my life by a doctor.

A very busy MD, scheduling time is at least 3 weeks away. A knowledgeable and caring MD with required expertise; he called me a week after therapy started to know how I was doing. Visited 2 other Ortho Surgeons and Dr. Mintzer by far was the best all around. His staff and receptionist lack friendliness, empathy and some of them even social skills, they are a cut/dry staff. In a business environment this is OK, but not for a physicians' staff.

Had a rotator cuff rupture. he reviewed the MR with me and scheduled surgery ASAP. He accomodated my work schedule. Repair went well and I'm back on the golf course in 6 months. Have to take it slow but the future is bright. I am in my late 60's but very active and plan to continue.

I started at Jewett with Dr Craig Mintzer and Patti. They gave me excellent treatment on my knee issues and kept me going as a basketball official for 15 years! Then they referred me on to Dr Pratik Desai who replaced my left hip and left knee last year. Excellent results and Dr Desai is awesome! His staff is outstanding. Monica, Judy, Kim, Brandi!

Dr. Mintzer does not listen to patients concerns and prefers to be a comedian. I have interacted with several orthopedic surgeons in my life and Dr. Mintzer is by far the least empathetic and the most abrasive/condescending. I transferred from another doctor due to moving across the country. He looked at my previous MRI and did not want to hear about my symptoms or concerns. He did not take the time to educate me so I could make the best decision for my health. Instead, he chose to make jo

Total waste of time with bad advice. I have been an athlete since I was 5 and now am an older athlete. After 9 orthopedic surgeries, I am still competing - great surgeons. I also spent many years working in the medical field. As a new patient he spent only 2 minutes with me and knows nothing about me. He told me virtually nothing can be done for my shoulder, torn ligaments and atrophied muscles. He also said I should not seek any other medical opinion, wow! There are treatments that can be done.

Dr. Mintzer is amazing! I will send all my family and friends to him for shoulder surgery. After 2 years of pain in my right shoulder, he did a biceps and rotator cuff repair and my arm feels great. He is professional and very knowledgeable - he showed me pictures and explained the procedure he performed. Great experience and will not go to anyone else!

After being a patient of Dr. Mintzer's for five years and three arthroscopic surgeries, my respect for his skill as a surgeon is high. He's amazingly good at his profession. For me, however, after five years, the true measure of the man lies in his intelligence, wit, and personality. I hold him in the highest esteem for his dogged determination outside the operating room. Mine is a deep debt of gratitude for his devotion to me, personally, as a patient. Dr. Mintzer made a difference.

First issue was that time to recover was NOT discussed. It was SUBSTANTIALLY longer than I was lead to believe. However, the bigger issue is with Jewett in general. To start, I have VERY good insurance and paid all my bills post Sx. Then I got a bill for$272 more than 6 MONTHS after the surgery. I reluctantly paid it. What got me even more upset is that I got a bill over TWO YEARS after my surgery asking for another $300. Don't go here... They will keep sending you bill FOREVER.

Saw Dr. Mintzer after almost 3 months of being in pain with my knee. Had Chiropractic adjustments but they didn't take care of the problem. I cautiously saw Dr. Mintzer as I had read reviews but pro and cons. Without a doubt this is one of the most intelligent, caring, and knowledgeable surgeons in his genre. I can't recommend him highly enough. He is cut to the chase, humorous, kind, caring and diligent about his patients. I respect him and would go to him again in a minute.
