Excellent doctor, bedside manners are amazing!
Dr. Young makes it a point to take his time with you, no matter if it's a visit or a procedure. I never felt like he rushing and doesn't have time to explain what he is doing or to listen to my concerns. Doctor's like this are hard to find anymore!!

Second Visit
My first visit with the practice was scheduled by me. I was having aggressive chest ,stomach, abdomen & throat pains that continued day in and day out. I couldn’t sleep or eat due to how much pain I was in and still is. I couldn’t wait that long to see a doctor so I contacted my insurance company. They found me a PA in the same practice and got an appointment set up. I contacted the practice to let them know before the appointment that I had already seen a PA there. I was advised to still keep the appointment with Dr Young. Upon my first visit Dr young stated there was nothing he could do and I should go with the order that the PA had requested to get done. Cool, I got the test done and no discoveries were made. My chest pain is getting more are more aggressive daily, that I feel as if it’s affecting all the organs in my body. On my second visit Dr young was very transparent and was honest to tell me he didn’t know what was causing the problem and stated VCU is where I need togo.

Very personable and explained everything
My nurse Nicole was awesome. I asked the folks out front to turn down the music in the lobby and they didn't because my son has sensory issues, and doesn't do well with those kinds of distractions. There was also a radio on behind their desk. The receptionist told me that my son could sit in the car if need be.

Caring and knowledgeable
Dr. Young has an excellent bedside manner and takes his time to educate as well as listen to patient concerns. He does not rush you and he makes you feel comfortable and at ease. First time I ever had a colonoscopy where the doctor made sure to come in and explain the process and ask how I was feeling about it. He does not make you feel like a random, he is very caring and considerate.
