Initial appointment
Dr Carter was thorough and recommend a cortisone shot. I had relief from the pain soon. A compression bandage was recommended and it has been helpful.

Dr, Christopher Carter at Andrews Sports Medicine
Dr. Carter treated me for a meniscus tear of the left knee. He was kind, very knowledgeable about my condition and said he wanted to help me get rid of the terrible pain I was having. He injected cortisone in my knee and is applying to my insurance company for clearance for me to receive gel shots for bone on bone pain of the knee. I would recommend him highly.

The Absolute Best Bedside Manner!
I work in health-care and this was my first visit. I was very impressed with Dr. Carter's bedside manner. He listened to my complaint and gave honest feedback after his examination. He explained all of my treatment options thoroughly. I really wished more doctors were like Dr. Carter.

Excellent. Physician
Dr. Carter is kind and patient, answering questions without making one feel stupid. He has common sense and is very personable. Not an all condescending. Gave complete and helpful medical advice. Only annoyance was the sign in~ scanning, ID, etc. People over 70 should be exempt.

Bursitis at the base of my toe. Dr. Carter x-rayed it determine it was not bone spur. Injected it. Problem solved. He is my go to guy for orthopedic problems short of surgery.

Christopher Carter, MD, joined our team of physicians in September, 2017. Dr. Carter treats patients at our St. Vincent's Trussville, St. Vincent's Birmingham and St. Vincent's One Nineteen locations. He also serves as team physician for the athletic programs at Clay-Chalkville High School and Miles College.
