Dr. Christopher Baumbach, MD

The office never answers their phone and are closed certain days during the week. Won’t be returning to them and I can’t recommend them.

I'm not happy with this doctor at all. He is not responsive when called with questions, and had ignored a lot of my symptoms. My thyroid levels where very high and lymph nodes enlarged. He prescribed a higher dose but no follow up. I ended up going to an endocrinologist, and they ordered an ultrasound. The ultrasound showed multiple thyroid nodules that required a biopsy. Long story short, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and surgery was needed at that point. My experience with Baumbach is not good. I had given specific details about the symptoms that he chose to ignore each one of them and not to follow up.

I was having hypoglycemia symptoms. My insulin pro-insulin and c-peptide were 4x to high. He told me it was ptsd and NOT to check my blood sugars. He even was dumb enough to write that in the notes. He refused to refer me to an endocrinologist. A few days later I did find a Dr. To get me a referal to an endocrinologist. It's a good thing he did. I was diagnosed with secondary adrenal insufficiency. Low cortisol,blood pressure and hypoglycemia. Another day later and id of died. The body can't last 72 hours with out cortisol.

We have not been very happy with this doctor. My dad had to insist on Dr. Baumbach doing more tests and was finally diagnosed with cancer. Then he also missed diagnosing an infection that the nurses had to figure out at the assisted living facility he lives in even though we had told the doctor about his symptoms. I feel like he doesn’t really listen or seem to care. He also never returned my phone calls when my dad was previously in the hospital.

Unfortunately I have been hospitalized several times this last year. The care Dr. Baumbach provided in and out of the hospital was excellent. He made rounds every morning, answered all my questions, never seemed rushed and was very kind. He is very knowledgeable and I trust his care. In the office setting I experience the same high standard. I would not hesitate to recommend him to my family and friends.

I felt very confused about what is wrong with me. Didn't answer my question wasn't willing to look further.
