Dr. Chioma Ogala, MD

The office staff is very unwelcoming. Customer service is, i guess, not important in healthcare. I called to see if they're accepting new patients and the first question was "what's your insurance" and then i was told i have to go to their facility to get a new patient package, complete that, return it to their facility (in-person 2 visits of my time) and only then would Dr. Olson evaluate if i'm worthy of her practice. Pass!

HUSBAND SAW HER YESTERDAY AT MHC. DIDN'T ASK HOW HE WAS DOING? HOW HE WAS FEELING? WENT STRAIGHT TO WHAT ARE YOU HERE FOR? SHE DIDN'T CONSULT HIS CHART FOR ANYTHING. SAID THAT SHE DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING FROM THE SPECIALISTS HE'S SEEN RECENTLY IN THE CHART WHICH IS NOT TRUE AS THE PROVIDER HE SAW THAT LEFT (AND WHY HE WAS NOW SEEING THIS DR) HAD ALL THAT INFORMATION IN THE CHART AND THEN COULDN'T ANSWER ANY OF HIS QUESTIONS ON HIS RESULTS THAT HIS PREVIOUS DR ORDERED AND SHE HAD IN THE CHART, BUT DIDN'T REFER HIM TO ANYONE THAT COULD EITHER. THEN ASKED ABOUT THEIR GOALS THEY NEEDED TO ACCOMPLISH IN ORDER TO GET THEIR BONUSES FROM THE GOVERNMENT--IE COLONOSCOPY, EYE EXAMS, ETC. BY THAT TIME MY HUSBAND WAS DONE WITH HER. FELT LIKE A WASTED APPT AND SHE WAS INCOMPETENT AS NOTHING WAS ACCOMPLISHED.

This was the most minimal physical exam I have ever had. Dr. Oglala seemed primarily focused on whether I had my mental capabilities and not about my physical health. The paperwork I brought had a question about pain. When I told her it was my back, she informed me that she couldn’t treat me unless this was counted as 2 appointments. She seemed more interested in how this treatment would be paid than about my physical well being. She only listened to my breathing but did not examine any other part of me. She seemed more focused on the noun and verb I chose for my sentence and how close the little hand was to the 12 on the clock I was asked to draw than on my previously reported issues, including surgeries and injuries. She left me feeling discouraged about my new primary care physician- will she be a caring advocate for helping me stay healthy? I’m not sure.

My wife and I met for the first time with Dr. Ogala. She was thorough in her questioning, attentive in listening, clear in her advice and instructions. and extremely sensitive to our special needs. Her staff in the outer office and her medical assistant were excellent. We feel fortunate to have Dr. Ogala as our new PCP.

Initial visit. She did very comprehensive health history review and listened to my concerns and responded with positive comments and defined next steps which we could both agree upon

She didn't let me explain anything and she didn't listen to me. She was abrasive and condescending. Extremely irritated.

Doctor Ogala was very good, communicating all the information.

Knows what she’s doing. Straight forward and to the point, yet not insensitive. What’s not to like about that.

Regular primary doctor was on vacation so saw dr Oglala. She was very thorough.

She’s nice. A little hard to understand and very quiet.

Dr. Ogala needs to work on her people skills. On my first office visit, she came through the office door and charged me like a bull. I don't know why in the world she did that. I gave her a second chance but decided to look for a different doctor and think I made the right decision.

Dr. Ogala was very attentive and listened to my concerns. We discuused options for my treatment following my recent surgery, and came to some agreeable conclusions for further treatment. Excellent visit!
