Dr Cha helped save my life and I will recommend him 1000 times to anyone looking for a caring, knowledgeable, and experience doctor. I will forever be grateful to him and his team and will never forget the day he came into the room and told me I was ready for surgery after a year and half of chemotherapy. This was in 2014 and till this day I will always remember how caring and attentive he was to my health.

Ostemy reversal surgery

I found out that I had a Neuroendocrine Tumor on my pancreas. My hematologist recommended Dr. Cha to me. From our first visit to our many, many visits after that, Dr. Cha has remained knowledgable, reassuring, kind, professional, patient, and sympathetic. On November 30, 2021, Dr. Cha performed a Whipple Surgery on me to remove the tumor and a bit of my pancreas. Before the surgery, Dr. Cha reviewed the whole surgery me. He patiently answered all my questions. After the surgery, I had some complications due to the recovery time of my body. This kept me in the hospital for 14 days. Dr. Cha personally checked in with me every day. He was again patient, supportive and respectful. Dr. Cha concerned about my physical health, but also my mental health. I am now 8 weeks out of surgery. I am extremely lucky that I am cancer free and recovering ahead of schedule. I feel extremely fortunate that Dr. Cha was my surgeon. I can not thank him enough for his wonderful care and professionalism.

I researched physicians before selecting Dr. Cha. My husband was admitted to the ER for abdominal pain and was told that he had to have his gallbladder removed. Several of his maternal aunts and uncles passed away from various stomach cancers so I was particular about finding the appropriate doctor to ensure he was going to be in ideal care... A physician with Yale validated my choice and Dr. Cha was outstanding from the beginning! His bedside manner was superior! He showed us a large diagram of the organs, prior to the surgery, made sure we had every answer to every possible question. My husband was more relaxed prior to the procedure than I was, and Dr, Cha came out to make sure I was fine after he completed the procedure! I have never felt so entirely pleased And comfortable with the doctor and Staff! His entire staff was wonderful and we've never encountered an entire team to be so wonderful! My husband's surgery was a month ago I'm remembering to write this review now! Tremendous!

Dr. Charles Cha is a 5+Star oncology surgeon! I have pancreatic cancer. Treatment: chemo, then Whipple surgery. Pancan.org “strongly recommends you have a high volume pancreatic surgeon (more than 15 surgeries per year) perform the surgery.” Dr.Cha is a high-volume EXPERIENCED surgeon. Yale has the highest volume in CT. In Oct 2020, after 17 years at Yale, Dr.Cha moved to St. Vincent’s Medical Center as Chief of Surgical Oncology. He performed many of Yale’s 83 surgeries. Dr.Cha has a PATIENT FOCUSED mission: provide the best oncology care for each person. His team took great care of me. Dr.Cha discussed my imaging results using clear language, highlighting details, concerns, possible impact. COMMUNICATION was calmly focused on me, my cancer, my surgery. Visits are never rushed. Dr.Cha inspired my CONFIDENCE. He would be my surgeon. It would go well. It did! I’m thankful to be Dr.Cha’s patient. He saved my life. Amazing medical, communication, people skills. He is the best!

My visits were relaxed and reassuring. He does not pressure patients into decision making and makes sure you understand the situation and most typical outcomes good and bad. He talks TO you and your family and not in medical jargon, but plain english. He answers all your questions or gets you the answers and doesn't rush you out of the office. His demeanor is calm, confident and reassured. A doctor you will trust.

Dr. Cha and his team are fantastic. He performed a whipple procedure to remove polyps in my digestive track. Dr. Cha has fantastic bedside manner and he is able to explain things to a lay person with clarity. His staff treated me well and professionally. You can't help but like this guy. He is obviously very talented yet he treats you with poise and friendship.
