Great Caring Doctor
Dr. Barta discussed the treatment plan for my blepharospasms and how often I would need them administered. Her injections are easy and the relief is amazing! She has a positive, cheerful attitude and to be free of the blepharospasms I have had since childhood is wonderful!

Worst appointment!
Dr Barta was arrogant, dismissive and she wouldn’t listen! If you have a neurological problem go somewhere else, Dr Barta isn’t interested in finding the source of a problem! I tried multiple times to tell her what my symptoms are and wasn’t successful. She wants to give drugs without knowing what she’s treating. Maybe she would be better if she had a decent staff. Dr. Barta has to check in her own patients and that includes bringing them from the waiting room back to the exam room, taking their vitals…. The people in the office Were not very friendly and looked very unkept.

I hope you have a deductible. She will use it all
I went to the emergency room for a seizure. She kept me in the hospital for a week and ran ten's of thousands of dollars worth of tests with absolutely no conclusion at all. Her review with me lasted maybe five minutes at best and I would have to wait three months for a follow-up. I found another neurologist in Plano. Dismissed her as just keeping staff and hospitals employed with my insurance money. I had no choice because she was assigned to me, but if I could choose, I would stay WELL AWAY from this woman. Terrible.

Nicest doctor I've ever met
Dr. Barta is by far the kindest and most thoughtful doctor I've ever met. She gave me great advice regarding my treatment and made me feel like I was actually listened to. Don't let the other reviews here fool you; she's a truly amazing doctor!

Dr. Barta seemed to be a competent doctor....her staff is another story. I waited two months to get an appointment and almost two more for follow up testing. Front desk was simply rude at first appointment, and MA forgot to call in script, and schedule a brain scan. I left 4 messages and ended up emailing Dr. Barta. I expected her to “own it”, and say I am sorry, your script is called in and we are getting the pre-auth now. Nope, just said your RX is ready. No acknowledgment. I sought treatment elsewhere and waited almost three weeks for reports to be faxed. I had to call to make that happen. I am disappointed because I believe if the staff was competent Dr. Barta could have been a much needed clinician for me.

Dr. Barta is the best neurologist I've ever had. Her office staff, on the other hand, treats people like they are nothing. I wish Dr. Barta knew how her office manager treated people. I hope you read these, Dr. Barta. Because I really do need you and your staff doesn't care and has written me off. I have been in and out of the ER multiple times, either with migraines or Pseudotumor Cerebri headaches, but your office manager won't let me make an appt. I've pretty much given up.

Dr. Barta has been treating me for my Parkinson's Disease now for more than 3 years and has been the most wonderful and kind doctor that I can ever imagine having. She is extremely concerned about my care and has been right on target each time that I have needed a change in medication, etc. I highly recommend Dr. Barta to everyone.

I honestly, don't understand how anyone can give her less than 5 stars. She has literally treated everyone in my family over the last 20 years, from my father who she helped with Parkinson's disease (he called her his daughter), my wife who she helps with her Migraines,to my children who she has guided us as a friend and family doctor. She is absolutely committed to her patients and continually builds on her incredible knowledge to know they newest treatments.

I was referred to Dr Barta by my primary neurosurgeon for more testing. Her receptionist was very nice and accommodating as was her MA/nurse -Eureka(sp). Dr Barta came into the room and interviewed me prior to doing an EMG. During the interview, she was extremely kind and paid attention to all of my answers. During the EMG, she was very comforting and talked with me through the procedure as at times, it was painful due to carpel tunnel. She was very thorough and I would highly recommend her.

For over a year I have tried to get treatment. She seems like a likable person. I've only been in her presence twice. She has prescribed treatment for me twice now and I have yet to get the treatment because her staff will not follow up with my insurance, they will not return voice mails and I have never had someone actually answer the phone. I've even sent faxes, and I still get no response. I have decided to find another healthcare provider. I would not recommend this practice to anyone.
