Dr. Chandler Cortina, MD

Dr. Cortina showed up at my first -and last- appointment with him extremely unprepared, having barely read my chart and only having looked at my initial needle biopsy results and not the final pathology after mastectomy. As such, there was much to go over with him, which he was extremely impatient with, having expected my long and complicated breast cancer history to be simple and short. He looked downright bored when I went through it with him, at one point even setting his pen down and crossing his arms. His demeanor made it hard for me to continue, especially being autistic, yet he kept interrupting me to tell me to “focus” when I was doing nothing but that and he was not. I kept apologizing that there was so much information but he got increasingly annoyed and hostile and started arguing wrongly about what I had said and not said and what was in my chart and ended my appointment without doing an exam. I had new concerns I didn’t get to share, which progressed thereafter. Avoid him.

Dr Cortina is top notch. So glad I chose him. He is clear and thorough and I found him very calming. His entire staff also earns 5 stars.

Dr. Cortina and the rest of my team made me feel very relaxed and comfortable when we were talking and discussing every step of my procedure. Couldn't ask for a better team of professionals taking care of me.

Dr. Cortina is wonderful! You will not find a more caring doctor. He listened to me and explained everything so well. Then he made sure to include me in all the decisions moving forward so I felt great with our steps to tackle my breast cancer. He did an amazing job getting all the tumor out and leaving my breast looking pretty awesome. I would recommend him fully!

Dr. Cortina is the most intelligent, caring, compassionate physician I've ever had. He's sincere, positive, comforting and very understanding of a patients needs. He takes the time to listen. He's a truly gifted surgeon and has his patients best interests and outcomes at heart. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Cortina is the most compassionate physician I ever had. Excellent bedside manner. Positive , comforting and understanding of the patients needs. I highly recommend him. If we didn't have this pandemic I am sure that he would also incorporate therapeutic touch in his care.

Absolutely horrible experience with him. He was extremely dismissive and contradicted without concern all of the other doctors' recommendations. He didn't even perform the exam, but had his resident do it and "fill him in." We came to him for advise and all he kept repeating was, "well what do you want to do." I should be billing him rather then the other way around. Complete waste of time.
