Dr. Carlos Dominguez, MD

Beware. 1 - The office staff is rude, never answer the phone and refuse to give you an itemize receipt. Instead they give you a card with a number to call. I find that suspect. 2. - My husband and I both had appointments today - they called me back to the examining room one (1) hour after my scheduled appointment time. The nurse looked and said that both mine and my husband's bloodwork had not come back yet and that we should reschedule our appointments. I said, I would like to talk to the doctor anyway to discuss our prescriptions and I had a couple issues with my health I wanted to bring to the doctor's attention. I thought they would schedule us another appointment to go over the blood work - they had to renew our prescriptions anyway. As soon as the doctor came in, he (VERY RUDELY) said, and I quote - "you didn't get your bloodwork done. YOU ARE WASTING MY TIME". I said - I am wasting your time? seriously? He said "YES, I am very busy" I fired him on the spot and demanded a refund of the $70 copay I just paid. The fact is - HE WASTED MY TIME! having me wait an hour for an appointment I made months ago and then to treat me like a burden! The staff should have pulled the bloodwork before my appointment time - they should have known before they had me wait an hour - they should have given me the option to reschedule before they took my copayment. AND - the fact that he prescribed a medicine that did not work. He changed our blood pressure medicine and both mine and my husband's blood pressure shot thru the roof causing me chest pain! We went back to the medicine we had prior to the change. Not to mention he stopped prescribing my husband's cholesterol medication and did not replace it with anything else. That was one of the reasons I wanted to talk to the doctor. Previously tried calling the office several times on that topic and they never called me back. I value my health, and I deserve to have a doctor who actually cares about me - not a doctor like this. So, beware before you hire this one.

NOT A GOOD DOCTOR> HE DOES NOT LISTEN TO HIS PATIENTS

I’ve been seeing Dr Dominguez for a year. Needed to recheck some bloodwork because of a condition and had the office fax the script to the lab. When I went to the lab fasting after 9am because they open late, they fax for me to get bloodwork I didn’t need. Called them and tried to explain and the person that answer the phone was rude and didn’t even care. I am a nurse and I’ve worked in doctors office. I know she could have asked the doctor for clarification. Was going to call back and ask for the NP to call me, but I know the message won’t get delivered. Loved going there because the NP was awesome, but rather look for a new doctor since the staff does whatever they want. It’s a shame. Hopefully, my condition doesn’t get worse by the time I get to see the other doctor.

One of the best doctors I have ever seen!! Staff is awesome too! Never had one issue. The level of thoroughness is astronomical. Doc has me eating better, losing weight, watching all the blood stuff and just down right feeling good about my health. Wait times are short and I'm usually in and out within 30-45 min. And the best part is I'm only 2 miles away!!!!

Very unprofessional not sympathetic and not willing to help or work with you in any way shape or form didn't matter your situation not I don't think they're real nurses can't be.... nurses help people not create problems and drama.

Dr Dominguez staff and doctor were all very friendly and helpful. I especially loved how Dr. Dominguez really took his time to explain my conditions with me as well as my treatment options. I had a great visit and the doctor’s demeanor has really put me at ease so I highly recommend this clinic. I thought obesity is just a name, but now I understand my whole future complications rely on this issue. I am now on track con control it.

Worst non-responsive office staff ever. The phone # sometimes works but then, they never return calls. I don't believe non of the office staff is adequately trained or have experience to work in a doctors office.

It's sad that the patient who is the one in pain and pays the doctors salaries to do all the calling, escalating and driving from one doctor's office to the other to get resolution. If that is bad enough my primary Dr. Carlos Dominguez in Deltona had the audacity to say to me (the patient) who has been doing his office staff's job, that if “I came to his office upset, no one in the office would assist me and he'd release me as his patient.” Yes, I was upset but at no time did I curse in the office. He truly threatened me. I rightfully was angry because I was getting the run around and no one was resolving my issue. I was so angry that I started to cry, then he said “that crying wasn't going to get me anywhere”, I composted myself and looked him right in his eyes and said that I was very angry and that is why I had tears.

I was impressed with the staff, they worked me in efficiently and were kind and knowledgeable! Met the doctor for first time and was impressed as well . Overall it was a great experience! I found this doctor to be proficient and knowledgeable. The staff went out of their way to get my referrals in and get tests ordered, was very impressed and overall with everyone from front to back, great experience ??

My mother went in for a follow up for some x-rays she got done and the receptionist was setting her up to do the x-rays all over again. My parents tried to explain to her that they had already gotten x-rays 2 weeks ago from there and that they wanted to see the doctor because my mom’s pain in her jaw was intolerable. The receptionist was extremely rude and had the nerve to say to my mom “If you are scotting out for pain meds, this isn’t the place!” MY MOM DOES NOT AND NERVE HAS TAKE PAIN KILLERS FOR ANY REASON. That was why she was going there to find a solution not a bandaid. SO DISRESPECTFUL AND ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING SERVICE. This will not be sweeped under a rug, and I will make sure that this women loses her job. See you soon.

I was warned not to go and found out within a half hour why. It was my first appoinment and the office adm was completely incompetent in dealing with my Insurance company. Because of this, they wanted me to make another appointment for a month away so they can get some sort of approval. I immediately called my insurance company and was told everything can be taken care of within one min. Slackers in my book. Cant imagine what else they would slack on...

Last appointment was deceiving he was arrogant and treated me as an object made me feel worst ,today I called and secretary was completely unprofessional so I decided to look for a new primary care doctor The gave the impression that only care about money ,greedy and unprofessional team if you HAVE to go better ask for the assistant she has much better attitude and cares

Been with Dr Dominguez for many years, 15+. Even when I moved out if the Deltona area for a few years, I would travel an hour to see him.He is VERY THOROUGH, and isn't afraid of referring to a specialist if needed. He takes his time with you, and I never feel rushed. I am very comfortable with asking him any questions and feel very confident in his answers. He is very thorough with blood tests he orders, and follow up accordingly. Good doc!!!
