Dr. Bruce Benge, MD

Not great at answering questions. I feel like he can’t wait to get me out of the door so he can get on to the next patient.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Benge for a few yew years. And Dr. Benge has performed two Urinary, outpatient surgery’s’ for me. He did a great procedure on them. Dr. Benge, is a great Urologist, and treats me well as a patient! The entire Brandywine Urology staff are very courteous, and help helpful! Glad to be a patines! Thanks!

Terrible experience. Dr. Bench stuff is awful, I can't get real person on phone. They did not call me after my surgery to check it out with me. I can't make to fallow up appointment on phone - they did not respond my messages. They did not call me with pathology test results. Just terrible

Not the kind of doctor that cares about the patient. I was treated for a hematuria. Dr Benge followed the long-established protocols. Very painful cystoscopy, quickly done, with no preparation or post procedure instructions. He only exchanged a few words with me, mainly to answer my questions. Most of my communication to find out my condition and treatment was done via email with the person in charge, not with the doctor.

Would not recommend. During the past five years, Dr. Benge has never once: - Addressed me by my name. - Spent more than 5-7 minutes with me. Other than read my annual PSA results and perform the rectal exam, routine tests such as a flow check, bladder scan, or urine checks have never been performed. I find the man to very uncaring and lacking in people skills. These comments are repeated many times in his reviews. I have since moved on and found several other options than Dr. Bruce Benge.

Would not use him again, this is the second doctor in this practice that I am very uncomfortable with in not showing any real interest in the patient. Spends absolute minimum time with patient. Assembly line operation. Will not go back to that practice. Many mistakes in medical summary of conditions including conditions that I do not have,, sent prescription order to wrong pharmacy--poor, very poor support staff.

One of the most caring, qualified doctors I have ever met. He goes out of his way to care for his patients.

Dr. Benge helped me through a very difficult time in my life. Treated my symptoms and was always compassionate

He is an excellent surgeon. He answered all of my questions and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Absolutely amazing physician, you will not find better. Has treated me for years with the upmost care and concern even with his pressing and intense schedule.

Totally unprofessional and uncaring. Spent less than 5 minutes with me (having a serious medical issue). Did not bother to listen, ask questions or offer guidance. Final insult: the first available follow-up appointment is in three months time!

Would not go to him if you have Prostate cancer. He diagnosed my husband. But only wanted to do surgery so he could do it. Luckily we went to Oncologist and got second opinion. Got seed radiation and things went great and he was able to keep his manhood. Dr Benge does not look out for the patient. Just wants to do what he can do not considering the patients needs and quality of life.

Dr.Benge; He removed my cancerous bladder 3 years ago,I never had any problems after the operation.He truly is a great surgeon,he saved my life with the operation before the cancer spread to my other organs.So far I'am cancer free almost 4 years later. Ron.M
