Upbeat, attentive, and knowledgeable
I've seen Dr. Whitaker a couple of times, first to establish myself as a new patient and after an unexpected emergency surgery. Both times she was very upbeat, took the time to get to know my medical history, asked a lot of questions in search of relevant details, understood my conditions and suggested good ways of addressing my issues, as well as the right labs to create a good baseline for my current health state. Moreover, at the second visit she remembered the previous discussion (over 4 months prior) and checked on the outcome of my lab results for the other issue we were monitoring. I am definitely recommending her to family and friends.

Horrible
Does not listen, especially to patients with very long history of serious medical issues. Will not order necessary labs that previous Dr required. Will not collaborate with patient’s specialists. Says one thing in office and then dictates chart notes (on portal) that are NOT ACCURATE. Is not at all professional. Patient’s health has taken a DRASTIC turn for the worse seen seeing her. She also NEVER touched patient over two years. She has a habit of being very dismissive. Patient had to change physicians because of Whitaker’s lack of knowledge and inability to comprehend patient’s medical history. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I'm really sad to be writing this because I really had enjoyed seeing Dr. Whitaker. I've been having chronic back pain, and after one visit of her giving one solution (stop pt which I had 6+ weeks of, try OMT, get an X-Ray even though we knew it wasn't something an X-Ray would show), she just stopped seeing me. I got an appointment scheduled after the X-ray to discuss next steps and was told, "just wait X more weeks and see if the pain persists" when it's already been 4.5 months. They called me *3* times to cancel my appointment when I said I wanted it, I eventually gave up. I've heard stories of doctors dismissing peoples pain and was luckily enough to not experience that until now with Dr. Whitaker.

Patient, kind, and a good listener for my 91 year old mother. She brought just the right amount of understanding, firmness, and knowledge to the situation at hand. I appreciated how she listened, was able to counteract some false beliefs of her condition, and suggested the next steps to feeling healthier.
