Caring, kind and funny
Dr Toussaint was on call , on a Saturday, but took the time to see me. He diagnosed my problem and delivered bad news with light humor. He also made suggestions for follow ups. Wonderful, caring and compassionate.

Retina detachment
I was referred to Dr. Toussaint, Brian Toussaint that is, by my Ophthalmologist for a possible Retina problem. With some apprehension l walked into his office anticipating a grumpy old man with the attitude “l am a doctor, and you are not” to meet a young man with a smile brightened the room and made you feel that you’d known the man for years. After giving me the shot, it was Friday he said l’ll see you tomorrow, when l told him tomorrow is Saturday “l know” he answered. He took the time on his day off to be sure my eye is OK. That meant the world to me. I salute you Dr. Toussaint, l wish all Doctors are of your Caliber and pleasant attitude. Thank you Sir.

I had a serious bleed that left me blind in right eye. I am new to De. He took me in the same day he was asked. He made me comfortable and was honest from the start. He did surgery quickly and even though it failed he did not push for second surgery. It is recovering slowly. He is happy and up beat and I always leave feeling better. I never have to wait long if I do it will be worth it.

Took care of my 11 year old daughter who had a detached macula AND retina. No one wanted to touch her because of her age but he did and surgery was a success. In addition to that his follow-ups have always been a pleasure. The office staff and him do well with patients of all ages.
