Negative experience
My first experience was rocky he came in saying…well we are not going to do surgery,,,I didn’t know my options I didn’t mention surgery,,,very negative experience. No time for me and my jammed finger.

Does not listen.
If you're 30 minutes late, it doesn't hurt to acknowledge it - as in, 'thanks for waiting.' Docs are busy - and so are patients! Seemed like he was running behind when I saw him. Wouldn't seek out again.

Excellent surgeon and person
My experience with Dr Hutchinson was amazing. I fully trust his skills and his staff does as well. I am shocked to read these reviews but you cant please everyone. If you need or are having surgery please ask the questions do not expect your surgeon to just sit and explain everything. Do your own research and due diligence. Kaiser is a busy place with busy surgeons.

Surgery went OK
The surgery went OK. Would have liked more information on the surgery and what to expect as this was my first surgery. Reassurance that I would be well taken care of would have helped.

Bias towards negative reviews
Really detailed and welcoming, took the time to answer all of my questions and demonstrate what was going wrong. I understand that these kind of reviews self select for negative ones, so I thought i would come here to reassure folks that he was great. He 1000+ patients a year, so having only 4 negative reviews is kind of remarkable.
