Dr. Alger has been my PCP for the last 10 years. I've found him to be helpful and knowledgeable for any issues I've had. I appreciate his no nonsense approach, and he knows me and my issues. His office and nursing staff are efficient, and they minimize the amount of time I spend waiting in the office.

An Excellent Dr!
I almost didn’t go to him because of the unfair low reviews. Dr. Alger is very knowledgeable and experienced. Highly recommended!

Rushed appointment
After waiting an hour in waiting room, Not heard, examined or dialogue. Doc walked out 1/2 way through appointment & had to find out from nurses that he was with another patient. Was a very upsetting & disappointing experience. Sad to feel like a number.

Human or robot?
For an annual exam he did a very basic physical, barely touching me. Asked a bunch of questions but had barely any responses, including when I brought up some issues I'd had. Generally robotic.

Dr. Alger seemed to be more interested in how his hair looked than my health. After a couple of years of putting up with his arrogance and indifference I move on.

Was avoiding finding a new primary but glad I found Dr Alger and the team. They made the routine annual checkup, bloodwork/labs easy. I was in and out, no waiting around all day,. Doc spent time chatting and getting to know each other. Great office location near downtown, easy parking.

I've been a patient of his for 2 years. I really do not enjoy going in to see him. He comes across as judgemental and frankly seems like he has no clue about illnesses. I came in very ill at the beginning of July, and told him I ate raw oysters. He looked at me like I was insane that I thought I might have gotten something from the oysters, and spent maybe 10 min or less with me. No bloodwork or anything. Turns out I had Vibrio, and got diagnosed by my family doctor in TX. Looking for a new Dr.

NO--DOES TALK A GOOD LINE IN OFFICE BUT THEN DOESNT FOLLOW THROUGH ON T HE RESULTS OF TEST AND THE DIAGNOSIS.
