Extremely Poor Orthopod
Had been having neck issues with headaches & numbness, tingling down arms for 3-4 wks . Xray was taken then he, Dr Picha entered the rm, few questions, no exam and said he had nothing to offer me and that the issue would resolve on its own. Asked about MRI and reply was NO. Did research and what my xray resulted said this is a serious spinal issue and left untreated will lead to further worsening symptoms & disability yet, he did nothing & my symptoms have worsened the past week. This doctor is extremely poor & apathetic and shouldn’t hold a medical license . This visit was a waste of time, money and NO treatment or care! Go elsewhere if you are experiencing spinal issues….

Disappointed
Frustrated because I came in with a new issue, and he would not address my ongoing issue at the same time. I guess it’s common now that you get 1 complaint per visit? That gets pretty expensive. I also felt I had to make a decision quickly without much information. The nurse, X-ray tech, and office staff were all friendly and efficient. Dr Picha himself is okay, but I feel he was kind of matter of fact. I left disappointed that I didn’t have more answered.

Terrible
He just dumped me as a patient the night before surgery. I am still out here with 5 broken vertebrae. There was no explanation or anything. His bedside manner is terrible.

I will not be going back for a second appt.
Dr Picha did not spend any time on questions about my condition or physical exam. I had been in severe pain for 3 days, unable to stand straight up. He ask where the pain was, no other questions. Lifted both my legs ask how that felt. By the way not where the pain was. Said you have early arthritis, I’m 65 not sure that qualifies as early. But I have had this for 15 years. He gave me steroids and said make an appt for 2 weeks. I will not be going back. I believe this was sciatica pain, so the steroids did help the flare. I am a health care professional. So I know what an exam and history should look like. And this was not it.

Excellent surgeon!!!
my back was in so much pain that I could not stand for longer than five minutes or walk any distance at all. After my surgery, I walked out of the clinic and have been pain-free. I would highly recommend to anyone suffering from this condition.

Respectful and Kind
He was willing to present me with some options to consider. My situation may not have an option for a total fix. I have time to think about it. He exerted no pressure, but have me things to think about.

It’s like talking to a brick wall
After a failed epidural injection I returned for a follow up appointment. Unable to walk, stand or even sit. I struggled for a year and a half with these issues and they are now at an all time high. I asked about surgery since I had already tried PT, oral steroids, massages, and epidural injection and found no relief. I told him my job was even on board with me getting surgery since it has been a long battle. He said, “I’m the surgeon not them, I don’t tell them how to make hamburgers.” I was appalled at how little compassion he showed me. He then decided to have me take another round of oral steroids (which I had already done two rounds.). I left that office visit that day completely defeated and unheard. I saw my primary care dr the following week and she was appalled as well by the way he treated me. She then referred me to a different orthopedic surgeon who saw me the following week. Went over my history, reviewed my X-rays and MRI and scheduled me for surgery!

Disinterested Doctor
He and his staff made it clear patients were not the priority. Though his colleague he sent us to recommended a course of treatment, Picha said no. The office doesn't return calls or when they do it's a week later. Especially the office manager is astonishingly unprofessional. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to see him. My recommendation, avoid at all costs.

Great listener!
I’ve seen Dr Picha for two years now. He’s very kind and spends a long time asking questions & listening to my issues. I haven’t had surgery yet, but he did try two epidurals at a surgery center before I decided to try pain management before surgery. He never pressures me to have surgery which I know I will do soon.

Refuses to listen to your complaints and even test results, he gets an idea and just runs with it despite what you or your MRI says. Will make you do as many consultations as possible before doing any kind of procedure, whatever it takes to pad the bill.
