Good physician I think. He made a bad diagnosis for me that caused lots of worry and trouble. That diagnosis has since been reversed by a specialist. I wish he had referred me to a specialist.

Dr. Atterbury recommended that I get a lung biopsy due to irregularities viewed in a thoracic Xray. Neither he or his office provided a referral for this procedure until several phone calls and visits to his Southwest Care office. The results from the biopsy were that a lung nodule was malignant and these were sent to his office the next day. He never responded to the report and, after a week of waiting, I obtained my own copy. After many trys to contact him I self-referred to the Mayo Clinc

Dr. Atterbury has been my primary care physician for nearly 20 years. I cannot say enough good things about him. His diagnostic skills are unmatched. He is warm, reassuring and explains things in a way that is easy to understand. Unlike many doctors today are in and out in a hurry, Dr. Atterbury spends a good deal of time at each appointment. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to potential patients.
