Dr. Benedict Figuerres, MD

I have been in to see Dr. Figuerres on multiple occasions and have found him to be very knowledgeable and kind. I would highly recommend him.

He immediately went straight to saying surgery for my carpel tunnel and trigger finger. When I asked about other treatment options for my hand something more right away vs waiting 4-6 weeks he said no. But then in my my chart he indicated he went over different treatment options and I requested surgery. He literally only spent 4 mins with which me which the whole time he talked down towards me, like I was incompetent. I will be seeking an immediate second opinion.

Great bedside manner. Answered all questions I had. Will definitely go back if needed.

This doctor is amazing he takes the time to explain what your Xray revealed and thoroughly explains the course of treatment and why…this is the 2nd broken bone (ankle & finger) I’ve been treated for by Dr Figuerres and he’s friendly, compassionate and professional.

Dr Figuerres has performed six surgeries on my knee. Unfortunately when the revision, I developed a horrible infection, preforming five more surgeries, culminating I the ultimate, amputation. Since that time, I’ve seen him for steroid injections in my shoulders.

My office visits have been very pleasant and efficient. I never feel rushed and Dr. Figuerres listens to my concerns or questions.

I am happy with Dr. Figuerres and Lindsay.

Saw Dr Figuerres for ankle injury. I am a previous patient of dr Figuerres for knee replacement. He is a great dr. Knowledgeable, kind and caring.

I broke my left shoulder because of a fall. He carefully explained my injury and treatment options. He was kind and really seemed to know his stuff .

Dr. Figuerres did a partial knee replacement 2 years ago and I came back to him for my other knee. I liked his work. I like his office and the experience at the hospital was great. So even though my local hospital does this work, I traveled to Topeka to have this done.

Dr. Figuerres performed rotor cuff surgery on my left and right shoulders over the course of two years. Excellent surgeon, caring physician and individual. He took the time to address concerns and answered questions at every visit. He also followed up with phone calls after hours and on weekends to monitor my progress. I also appreciated his ability to accurately access my pain threshhold and to safely and effectively treat it accordingly. In addition, my PT group had informed me it was a pleasure to work with Dr. Figuerres .

Horrible bed side manner! Complete waste of time and money seeing this doctor! He had NO recommendations for pain or recovery and made it clear that he did not care about what was going on with my son AT ALL. He seemed annoyed that we were even there to see him. I had to ask what he thinks, what he recommends. NOTHING! I had to ask for an MRI because he didn't think anything but rest was necessary "since he can walk" even though he is in constant pain, has been seeing physical therapists for months and can't compete in his high school sports. I NEVER write reviews unless its really bad or really good. I hope you are reading this Dr Figuerres so you can maybe improve the way you handle your patients. This guy is a joke!

Meet with Dr. setup surgery for right shoulder over 30 days out. Went in to office for sling fitting, went to scheduling, moved surgery up to Nov 20. On Friday Nov 16, 2 WORKING DAYS BEFORE surgery at Tall grass Surgical Center, office called and said Dr. reviewed my file and now wants it at St. Francis. Moved my surgery now to Dec 3. 2 months after injury in Oct 6. Dr. never looked at my file till 2 working days before surgery. I had left arm shoulder done back in March by same group.

Dr.Ben, is an excellent Doctor, he operated on my knee and years later repaired my rotator cuff. I abhor being cut on but if I have to be, I wouldn't want anyone but Dr. Figuerres. He's one of the kindest Physicians I've ever met. He has good bedside manner, explains things in a way that you can understand. He's very patient. I can't say enough about him and I'm usually not that fond of Doctors but Dr. Figuerres is an exception to the rule... I highly recommend him to anyone requiring surgery...

I did not feel that he wanted to answer any questions nor did he offer treatment options. Shows no compassion and does not seem knowledgeable. Doctor & staff dismissed emergency calls resulting in 2 trips to the ER, where I was assured I was justified in needing treatment. I would not reccomend this doctor.

Dr. does not like to be questioned or explain treatment. I asked very specific questions related to treatment and he acted like i was either a idiot or he was. I truly do not believe he cared about my well being or understood the what was wrong. We are currently seeking a new doctor.

does not like being challenged and gets upset if you question , He looks mannered but he is very incompetent.

I was scheduled to review MRI test results and he seemed surprised when I asked to review them. As we looked them over he seemed unprepared to answer my questions. First, he didn't trust the specific radiologist who wrote my MRI report, upon being challenged he changed his diagnosis and I left uncertain what was actually wrong. He recommended 6 weeks PT and when I asked about surgery he gave no options and then said maybe just 2 weeks PT. I felt like I was his first patient.
