I was referred to this physician during a dark time in my life, as I was coping with the sudden loss of my mother; a recent divorce and an expensive and highly contentious custody battle; for medication management for anxiety and depression. When I asked for one additional anti-anxiety pill per day--to go along with the 16 pills per day this doctor had me taking, to control issues I had not even been diagnosed or screened for--he became angry, as if I had personally offended him. In his anger, he revoked the anti-anxiety medication that I had been taking daily for seven years. Any and all medical professional know--or quite obviously should know--the dangers in stopping a patient's use of Benzodiazepines, especially when used daily over a long term basis. This physician's decision, seemingly made aggressively in anger, caused me to need to visit the emergency room twice in a one-week timeframe, leaving ER doctors deeply concerned about my safety and well-being.
