Wished I’d read these reviews first. I’m very sad

Dr Maharaj has treated my glaucoma for years. Eventually my problem required a trabeculectomy. He explained the procedure and took great care of me during the post op period. I live in Sarasota and drive 3 hours to see him.

Dr. A. Maharaj is an expert ophthalmologist that exhibited the utmost medical knowledge that he communicated in laymen's terms so we fully understood the medical condition and the medical procedures needed. My husband and I have full confidence in Dr. Maharaj and we proceed with our next surgery. He is a Godsend.

Dr. Arindel Maharaj is a superb expert, highly skilled and professional ophthalmologist and I will be returning to him for further care in 2 weeks. Dr. Maharaj's entire staff, nurses, technicians and fellow graduate students exhibited the utmost professionalism and most important medical expertise.

Cold as ice - man has no compassion and just wants to book a surgical procedure for me now. Without answering one single question of mine. Very intimidating attitude. Bad vibes surrounding his entire dark aura. Do not let this uncaring person touch you. He walked out of the room within 5 minutes, without making eye contact and told the front desk to make the procedure appointment for me (without my knowledge)! I don't think so! Arrogant, disrespectful and condescending. Not for me.

When I first saw him he rushed me into having a glaucoma procedure. He then tried using undue pressure on me to have a cataract removed. He actually became angry when I said not yet. I then found a second opinion and was told I didn’t need cataract surgery. It’s been almost a year and recently had another eye exam and No cataract.

I had a new patient consultation for cataracts.The tech that kept yawning took my information,did some eye test.while I was waiting to see the Dr. I got a text from my pharmacy saying my prescriptions are in from Baskin and Palma.Then I met the Dr. I felt rushed. I get to the desk the doctor ordered a second appointment for measuring for a lens; I told the Dr I need to think about the surgery,because he told me I shouldn’t have done what two other Drs said I could. I got to the desk and the person was new and training.Turns out he made an appointment for surgery without me knowing.The prescriptions that were filled before I met with the Dr was for surgery.Way too many mistakes.

Not good, He ruined my vision!

Met Dr Maharaj for the first time today and was immensely impressed with his knowledge and will be doing my cataract surgery with him very soon
