Poor in-hospital maternity care
4 years ago I had an emergency induction. She was the on call.obgyb. I had paperwork saying that I could get antacid and sleep medication . I asked the nurse 10 times. Drm shrout never came and checked on me and I never even received an antacid for my heart burn. I went 48 hours with out sleep leading into trying to labor, because I received none of the medication that was listed as authorized by my other Dr. I even heard a joke from another doctor talking in the hallway about this doctor's lack of in-hospital care.

Simply the best
After stumbling around trying to find a compassionate professional with a comprehensive practice; I found Dr. Shrout and have been a patient for about five years. Her knowledge and professionalism make her simply the best, and her staff is considerate, professional and caring.

I 100% recommend Dr. Shrout. She was very attentive, kind and most importantly, knowledgeable. I'm the person to read reviews across different platforms and I'm not understanding how she doesn't have 5 stars. I felt like we were having a conversation when talking about my history and nothing was rushed. Tons of eye contact, recommendations for next steps and she made me feel very comfortable.

She acted like I was an idiot for being in intense pain from an IUD insertion (apparently hypermobile people shouldn’t get IUDs anyway so I ended up having another doctor remove it). If you like cruel women doctors who think being harsh is funny, she’s your gal.

I wish there was an option for negative stars. Saw her twice as an OB. Second time I didn't have a choice in the matter. She lacks care, concern and bedside manner. She never followed up after confirming my water broke and treated me poorly in the office. The other doctors at this practice are thorough and caring, see them instead.

I switched to Dr. Shrout when I moved, she came highly reccomended from family friends and I was not disappointed. She was attentive, personable, easy to talk to and just down right funny. When you are worried about health issues it always helps to feel that someone can relate to your fear and what you are going through-Dr. Shrout did just that. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent doctor and she will stop at nothing to provide you with excellent medical care.
