Dr. Anne Maxwell, MD

I recently met Dr. Maxwell after having Meniere's disease for nearly 2 years. I was a little nervous after reading these reviews, but I have a great audiologist, and an ENT in my small town that I trust, and they assured me that I was in good hands. Everything I wanted from this appointment happened. I was worried that I would get there and Dr. Maxwell would be pushy with surgery. That was not the case. She offered me a new medicine that I had been wanting to try. If that doesn't work then we have another on the sidelines. Discussed surgery options with me, and gave me honest facts about the success rates and drawbacks of those surgeries. And went back over the basics like diet and drinking plenty of water. She was very friendly and took her time explaining things to me. I was pleased with my appointment, even though I wish Meniere's had a more positive treatment outlook.

Dr. Maxwell listened carefully to me. She ordered additional tests that were needed to help me make an informed decision. I felt that I was in good hands when I chose to have surgery. My entire experience has been positive and supportive. Dr. Maxwell has shown compassion for me and my situation and has utilized her education and experience to help me to improve my quality of life. I highly recommend seeking her expertise.

This doctor leaves much to be desired and the clinic she work in, the hearing and balance center marrero is just as bad. Caliccuca

I am grateful for seeing Dr. Maxwell as a second opinion after experiencing intermittent hearing loss with ringing and pressure in my right ear. She wrote for steroids which helped my hearing and symptoms recover. I found her both knowledgeable and professional and she listened to what I had to say. Highly recommend.

I had a very bad cerumen impaction in both ears. She explained everything to me, told me why it happened, cleaned out my ears, and I felt 100% when I left. I will definitely go back if I have this issue again and I would recommend her to my family. Thanks Dr. Maxwell!

Office visit went well. However I was not able to get a specific test performed for personal reasons. The nurse told me that Maxwell could no longer treat me since I was not able to do the test. Asked about other options and was told there were none. Seriously? She has never had others with this issue in her practice ever had this issue? Did she cut them off too?

I would give her 0 star if I could. I have accompanied my dad to most of his doctor's visits because he doesn't speak much English (and he's had many visits because of his history of stroke), and never have I encountered a health professional who was as RUDE as Dr. Maxwell was. She failed to explain what she was doing, was aggressive and forceful, got angry (yes, angry) for not being able to tolerate the pain of the procedure for which he was being seen, and was rude in her overall demeanor.
