Dr. Ann Klecan, MD

I have complete confidence in Ann. She has been my primary care doctor for over 10 years. She is warm, personable, and attentive. In the past few years, I have had many health care challenges, which she has addressed confidently, promptly, and professionally. I would not hesitate to recommend Ann Klecan as a primary care physician to anyone.

Always punctual, Dr. Klecan nevertheless takes ample time to address any needs or concerns. She has been my personal care physician for over 20 years, and has never disappointed.

Somehow missed my thyroid cancer that another doctor caught a few years later. I'm in my young twenties and had a very large swollen lymph node that I now know should have raised some red flags. I remember my visit being very brief, and I don't remember her actually physically inspecting me - I felt like she just asked me a lot of questions and didn't really bother examining me herself.

I really like Dr. Klecan, however, each time I go to her office for the annual visit that is covered at 100% by my insurance, I get billed for something else. Recently I scheduled with her and had the office call to switch me to a different doctor. I told the scheduler, nurse, and doctor that this was my annual visit. They are now saying it was not the annual visit and trying to charge me full price. The doctor actually wrote in the chart “patient thinks this is her annual visit” but no one of the 3 or more people I spoke with denied it was the covered visit. As much as I like this doctor, I’ll not be returning to her office.

Dr. klecan is the most intuitive and intelligent doctor I have ever met. She shows sincere empathy followed by proper care for her patients. I highly recommend her if your seeking a doctor who will be on your side. Five stars all the way.

My wife made her appointment for annual check with Dr. Klecan. It was supposed to be covered in full by her insurance. However, the clinic mistakenly filed the visit as new patient evaluation and as result, she was charged $100 out of pocket. After hours on the phone with both Sentara billing department and the clinic trying to correct the issue, she received her final notice with $100 and threatening to send to collection agency. Avoid Sentara, they are the least helpful when there's any problem.

The office is conveniently located and there is ample parking. The office is clean and well run. All of the staff are efficient, most of the staff is also very friendly. Dr Klecan is absolutely wonderful - she is patient, listens to everything you have to say and discusses all treatment care options with you. She does not rush you. She makes sure you understand everything. She cares about her patients and it shows!

Dr.Klecan is not only professional but interpersonal. My children and I love her! I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Dr. Klecan pays exceptional attention to the physical and mental well being of patients during office visits. She is to the point but never makes one feels rushed. I have been her patient for many years at various practices -- so I am a proud Klecan follower. I DO recommend her to friends and they find her excellent as well. I trust her diagnoses as well as her decisions. She pays attention to how I hope we can manage treatments IF needed. A+++++
