Dr Steven Heim is by far the best doctor we have ever met! We are in our 60's and have met many doctors through the years, both personally and with our adult son who has needed much medical help through the years. Dr Heim is up on all our past conversations. He listens so well!!!! We feel like he knows us well, even though we have only been his patient for one year and this was our third visit. He communicates so clearly: health concerns, risks, treatment options, He is so intelligent, and his eq is fantastic. We are so happy being his patients!

I am very blessed to have Dr. Heim as my doctor. He is very caring, a good listener and diagnoses my issues quickly and accurately. Of all the doctors that I have seen in the UVA system he is the very best.

Seemed disappointed that what he had recommended was not working for me. Seemed overall disappointed in me. Spent whole visit trying to talk me into going to other offices because he was so disappointed in my health. Poor attitude toward me. Been seeing him for years. Seemed delighted to tell me he detected a signicant heart murmur. I have no insurance and he had a BIG problem with that. Not happy at all with Heim.

Dr. Heim was attentive, addressed my question s and concerns thoroughly, discussed previous medical history and we mapped out next steps. He had reviewed my chart prior to my visit and was up to date with changes that had occurred with my health since my last appointment with him.

Dr. Heim always listens to what I talk about and has great insights. He proactively helps look up recommendations for shoes, other specialists, supplements, and if they are worth taking, etc. He is a great partner with me in keeping my health great!
