Dr. McSwain and the staff at GWU have been wonderful! Melisa, her patient coordinator, has been helping me navigate the process from Mammogram to surgery without flaw. Compared to other breast care centers around D. C., I found that GW has the best follow through with care for patients who have dense breast tissue.

Dr Anita McSwain's poor oversight of my routine annual breast care sent me into hospital billing hell. Her staff erroneously flagged a routine visit as Diagnostic and now I'm disputing a $1,600 mammogram bill plus the incorrect preexisting condition status on my insurance records. I've been trying to get her on the phone for 6 months -- SIX MONTHS ! -- but she's never called back. Instead, her billing people call me even when I insist the doctor needs to help clear the confusion herself.
