Dr. Anh Le, MD

I lost a kidney as a result from ALIF surgery performed by Dr. Anh Le. He had a relaxed approach during my follow-up appointments, when I expressed my concerns after surgery of left side pain. A blocked ureter was the prognosis during my ER visit. I needed to have a nephrectomy surgery due to a lack of function with my left kidney. Now I have stage 2 kidney disease.

I had been seeing another Md for this issue. In my frustration, I had my Primary give me a new referral. I saw Dr. Le in late October and my surgery was scheduled for late December. I don't remember much of my stay at the hospital, but I do know, via my family member that I received great care. Dr. Le was very kind and understanding. He listened to my whole story of my 2 plus years trying to get help. He explained everything to my satisfaction in words that I could understand. I found him to be very compassionate and involved in my surgery and recovery. I chose to do a 2 day procedure and this was my best option for my situation. Dr. Le supported me in my decisions. His skill was what I needed to stand up straight for the first time in year without pain. It was life changing for me. I cannot say enough good about Dr. Le. He has given me freedom in my life to do things I had stopped doing years ago. I highly recommend Dr. Le for your spinal surgical needs. KEP

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Le and his staff. They are all very professional and empathetic. I first came to Dr. Le barely able to walk and after spine surgery, I am walking over a mile a day three months post-op! Extremely happy with my results!

On March 31, Dr Le performed an epidural on my lower back left L3-4. Within hours, my pain was almost all gone. It was like a miricle. Although, I've had similar injections over the past 30 plus years, this one was the least painful during the administration and seemingly the most effective in years.

We met with Dr. Lee October 2022. He recommended that I have my L3-4 and L2-3 fused and a Laminectomy. Dr. Lee entered the room well prepared and confident. He told us I would not be walking in less than two years and that's why he is recommending the surgery. He told us it is very clear what needs to be done and that he already had a plan. He then showed us how he was going to carry it out on the MRI and the x-ray. November 2022, we checked into St. Joseph Hospital in Stockton. Dr. Lee carried out his plan. St. Joseph's Hospital was very good, and Dr. Lee checked in on me every day that I was there. As of January 23, 2023 all is going very well. The pain is gone. I am standing straight and walking well. It's been 10 weeks and I have recovered about 80% of my strength and balance. And no longer feel like there's 100 pounds on my back.

I had been experiencing severe back pain for about two and a half months and my quality of life was suffering as daily tasks such as walking were becoming harder to manage. I had an injection after the MRI revealed I had a herniated disc but opted for a referral as well to Dr. Le to determine what my options are if the injection did not work. Dr. Le recommended surgical intervention and within a week I was scheduled for my procedure. Both Dr. Le and his PA Viet Le, answered all my questions and concerns about the procedure and I was very comfortable with both of them. Post procedure I immediately was pain free from the months of nerve and back pain. I experienced normal surgical site soreness but aside from that my pain has been alleviated. Without hesitation I highly recommend Dr. Le and his amazing team at Alpine for any of your spinal needs. I am amazed at my results and have my quality of life back. I am so appreciative of Dr. Le and his team.

Before my surgery, my pain level, on most days, was close to a 10. I had fusion surgery over 10 years ago with a different surgeon, who no longer takes my insurance. My primary M.D. referred me to Dr. Le. Dr. Le was very patient and let me decide when I wanted to have the surgery done. I chose to do 2 years of pain management. Unfortunately, that did not work. I had my fusion surgery done mid-September 2022. I'm not totally pain free yet, but my pain level is no longer a 10. More like a 4. I can move a lot better, and I take less pain medication. I highly recommend Dr. Le. Thank you, Dr. Le.

After 1 1/2 years of suffering back and leg pain, physical therapy, and 3 epidural injections I finally elected to surgery to relieve the pain. Dr Le came highly recommended. I am very pleased with the outcome of my surgery and have been pain free since.

I have been seeing Dr. Anh Le for the past five years. I have degenerative disc issues and needed several epidurals in this time to manage my pain/discomfort. I actually went through most epidurals without any kind of numbing because of Dr Le’s precise skills. Recently Dr. Le discovered a very large cyst growing in between my L4 and L5. I needed surgery to remove it before it caused irreversible “drop foot.” Dr. Le also had to put a rod in. I was so thankful that I had a great history with Dr Le! I was as relaxed as one could facing a back surgery. On March 1, 2022 I felt confident going into my surgery because I fully trusted Dr. Le. I continue to receive excellent post op care! Dr . Le’s Physician Assistant Viet is very competent and Dr. Le’s staff is professional and efficient. I give them all my highest recommendation!

He did a lumbar fusion on my husband. He left the hospital walking great including going up steps. By 2weeks he was off all pain meds. 1year later the surgery is still successful!

Waited 4 months to see this dr. During my visit,dr . Le. Only seemed to care about what the mri showed. He could not care less about the pain or discomfort I was and still are in. Although I have a slipped disc in my c6,c7, according to dr.le, it is benign, I was told it would heal. The problem is, he did not even recommend treatment optionso, didn't ask what makes it better or worse.it is very sad that we have drs,that take an oath to help and to heal, but only if it's within their convenience
