He lacks decency in the fact that he never told the nursing team of what they needed to do to prep me before the day of the surgery. The nursing staff of Del Sol Medical Center contacted him and his staff several times with no answer until I escalated. Needless to say, no happy ending. If he can’t do something that basic, as to inform the staff of what is needed before surgery, then he has no business doing surgery on me. Find yourself a much better surgeon. You’re better off with someone else.

DR. Shay did not have the common decency to notify me or my husband that he was not part of the BC/BS insurance network. This information was on our records with the hospital. Texas is the perfect place for him as I have come to find out that it is the number one place to go to for "surprise Billing" schemes.
