Amazing
Dr. Lerner is thorough and I had a pleasant experience with everyone I dealt with on his staff. Haven’t seen a well rounded group like this ever in one team. Made dealing with lung disease less stressful. Wish all doctors and staff were like this.

Unprofessional Office Staff
His staff is incredibly unprofessional. I provided my insurance information when making the appointment and they confirmed they accepted it. The morning of the appointment, I walk in and provide my insurance information a second time. They asked me to sign a document that had insurance information that was not mine. I asked them to confirm they accepted the insurance I had provided twice and they refused to do so. I refused to sign the consent to treat and left. If that is the type of treatment and attention his staff gives to patients, I don’t want to be seen by this doctor.

Very impressed with Dr Lerner and the staff
The net of the review - Hopkins is a great network - both doctors, assisting staff and centralized data. I live in Florida and was told I had a nodule on my lung. Both parents died from cancer - lung & esophagus. I previously had breast cancer - treated by the doctors at Hopkins based at Sibley Hospital. My Florida Dr said I was high risk due to the previous cancer - despite the size of the nodule. I immediately called my Oncologist at Hopkins and was given Dr. Lerner's name. I sent the images in Sept and flew up for a Nov 1 appointment. Not only did they review the images sent, but researched what had been done previously. Meaning, they did not sit and wait for me to show up and then say we need additional testing - like so many doctors do. In 20 minutes they told they me they had located previous images from my radiation treatments showing the same spot. It had not grown, I did not need to worry. The work I needed, was done before I walked in the door.

Referred to Dr. Lerner for follow up of pulmonary nodules. Dr. Lerner is an interventional pulmonologist, so he is an expert in procedures to diagnose and treat pulmonary diseases. His bedside manner was exemplary, listening well, and explained options in a clear and understandable manner. Would definitely have Dr. Lerner do a procedure if necessary in the future and would refer any patient to him.
