I was impressed by his surgical ability
He took a biopsy without much pain, and it came out looking better than when he started.

I have chronic sinus infections, was referred to Dr. Reavis by a friend. Dr Reavis was out of the office, so they scheduled me with Dr. Gilbert. He examined my nose with a scope and told me he had a hard time believing I had sinus infections, as my sinuses were wide open(from prior sinus surgery 20 years ago). He then tells me that my symptoms must be caused by migrains. As if I don't know what a sinus infection feels like. Scheduled a CT scan after 21 days of antibiotics. I recieved my results in the UC Health app within an hour of my scan. Results showed a deviated septum and a sinus spur, which in fact, can cause chronic sinus infections- that info thanks to Google, as this doctor has yet to contact me! That was on January 8th, 20 days ago. Any time I have ever had a scan ordered, by a new doctor, or one I've had an established relationship with, they have always called me to either go over the results by phone or schedule a follow up. Not this place. Just like the previous reviewer, I would not recommend this doctor at all. I too, will take my ct scan and seek a different ENT doctor.

Misdiagnosed and brushed off
Oct 25th, I saw Dr. Gilbert for a sinus infection that was unresponsive to 2 types of antibiotics since Sept. He asked a few questions & before examining said he suspected migraines. A CT was ordered & it showed an infection. Dr. Gilbert said there was nothing concerning. I made an appt with a diff doctor for a 2nd opinion. My primary put me on migraine meds to rule that out, a 3rd antibiotic, & ordered an MRI. The MRI showed the infection still almost a month after the CT. At my follow up, Dr Gilbert said he still thought it was migraines and swelling due to a surgery 17 years prior. He said he saw no infection. On Dec 13th, I got my 2nd opinion. On the 15th, I was having surgery to remove the infection that was causing 80% blockage in my maxillary and had also spread to my ethmoid. Cultures were sent off which showed a severe bacterial infection that needs a specific type of antibiotic to treat it. If I had not gotten a 2nd opinion, who knows what could have happened.

One hour late for my appt and very rude
He assumed a heck of a lot thinking that my long history of ear infections (over 20 years) and pain is associated with a migraine headache from a year before and the only one I've ever had. It was beyond unbelievable! I walked out.
