Rushed. Wouldn't let my caregiver in room. I am wheelchair bound. Have epilespsy and seizures. A progressive form of M.S. Was not transferred safely to a chair she cranked up in the air without knowing how it affected my head or balance. Had me sign a paper I could not read. Didn't ask if I needed gasses. Put a Steroid injection in my foot which may have worked 3 months ago....That's how long it took to get in to see her after the crushed toe. I was shaking and crying holding myself out to lobby where my Husband & Caregiver saw the distress she caused from the injection. M.S. doesn't tolerat touch like the cold spray around my foot for the injection that Lord knows if I was allergic to or not. I was never told what I was singing as I could not see it. Was told it was my fault. At end of visit she said she never wanted to see me again. What type of Dr does that? It took me days to get well from her visit.

A number of years ago I moved from Chicago to Eagle River. I have a chronic heel spur since the 1980's. I was last seen by a sports podiatrist in Chicago that did wonders for my foot with radial shockwave therapy. I started having pain again in the foot so that I could barely walk. I saw Dr Dirksen and she put me in a walking cast. I was misdiagnosed and now have a ruptured tendon in my foot that left one toe limp and painful. I have a lifelong problem now added to my chronic heel spur because of a misdiagnosis. I am in discomfort or pain almost every day.

Knowledgeable and compassionate. Thorough foot care. Staff also friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend Dr. Dirksen.

Dr. Dirksen is my angel!!! She has helped me so much with my plantar fasciitis . She is so gentle, kind and understanding. I just love her!!!

Dr. Dirksen was the first physician to actually listen to my issues and, in doing so, was able to help discover that I had a blood infection and sepsis in my ankle that had gone un-diagnosed by 5 other providers. She referred me to providers who could treat this issue, but stayed in contact to be sure that I was being taken care of. I honestly owe my life to her. If you need a podiatrist that is caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, sincere and patient, then you need Dr. Dirksen.

I'm disappointed with the pp she sent me to. He sprained my ankle and i,called her office two days ago, to tell her, haven't heard back. If I let her cut on me, and things don't go well, will she avoid me? I'm treating my ankle sprain without medical advice now.
